Day 1
well we got there on 30th arrived at our hotel on amstel about 3.30pm checked in, I wanted to go to the Old Amsterdam just round the corner but for various reasons I didnt get to go, in the we ended up to Bushdocter just up the road, now i was grinning like a kid in a candy shop when we walked in there menu was overflowing with nice looking weed that i wanted to try and picked up 2g of bluberry (i almost chose the bubblegum) as i didnt want anything too strong to start me off.... sat n smoked a few n enjoyed the atmosphere in the place lovely little place n coffee was ok
from here we moved up the road I wanted to go to Dampkring as this used to be one of my favourites, but i tried a few times over the 4 days and it was always heaving both at the bud bar and seated so sadly i never did get in there, anyways we walked back to RokerijIII purchased a 2g of the lemon haze after chatting to the bud man (actually id been listening to him talking to the 4 girls(first-timers, they turned out to be hysterical when stoned and caught up with them a few times over the follwoing days) in front of me so more or less new what i didnt want. Spent a little while in here and while i thought it was ok the mrs wasnt so keen, specially after a large group came and sat around us, they were halve our age and twice as loud no worse than anything we've all done, but just not what the mrs wanted so we moved on after a short while,
from here we wandered down through the rld to check out another old fav, the old church now my first impression was this place has gone down hill slightly, however on reflections and talking to the mrs we both agreed that this place lives on its location and for me its a summer place imo you really want an upstairs window seat. I wasnt too impressed with all the rules they had in place, I cant recall if they were there previously or not tho, as I said think this place lives on its location as much as anything. However the weed has always been good and still was on this occasion picked up 2g of the Jack Herrer as an easy smoke and was impressed with this. Didnt make it upstairs as it was full so sat downstairs in a corner and some old boy (made us look young) sat down with us n smoked a pre-rolled was fun chatting with him and watching him melt into himself.
After a while we moved upto Basjoe's another place I'd never been too and went on recomendations from here, guys what can I say thanks we both loved this place, when we arrived it was full no free seat and we were behind a foursome already looking to get in, as we were all milling around looking inside and next door, I spied a couple leaving a booth right by the bar.... woohoo we were in....
ordered a couple of coffees and looked at the menu... picked up 2g of the amnesia and WOW this is REAAAAAAAAAALLLLLY nice smoke chatted with the guys behnd the bar and drank the best coffee I'd had all day.
(Actually thinking about it now I'm pretty sure I know who it was tha left, I'll tell you later)

well we sat n smoked a fair bit wwe were both really tired by now and headed back to the hotel around 11.30 after a fun filled first day.

i personally have never been in the old church.. although it does sound like there is a nice view from there.. may have to bring my own and smoke it up there.. is that allowed??

to be honest your the first i have heard of that enjoyed the herb. for some reason i feel like this place wouldnt have very good weed.

sadly they've implemented some "new rules" since i first ventured there some years ago, one of which is your not allowed to smoke your own
I'm gonna report on each of the cs in there own places to give my view on them and ill cover the rest of the rules there... together with the other minor niggles...

day 2 NYE... bring it on...

got up well who cares when... smoked a small one on the way down to Rembrandtplein for breakfast, wish id skipped the so called "full english" it was pretty poor and cold, but given it was early lunch maybe id missed the best of it, somehow tho I doubt it :-/

Anyways swmbo had insisted that we do some culture on this trip as well as, so off we wandered towards some church\boat\museum\flower market\(insert choice of culture here) as we did so we passed by Dampkring (still heaving)
So carried onto Tweede Kamer popped in for a coffee, and picked up 2g of the BlueCheese, gotta love that name and yep it has the smell go with it. Managed to get a nice seat in the corner and watched the que build to an extenet where they stopped serving drinks and opened the door to let the smoke out. That was funny as those sat down and started to complain about the cold, not surprisingly a fair few people left sharpish for somewhere warmer.

From here we wandered off for some more culture. I have to admit I love wandering around 'Dam stoned such a cool place to do so, but as others have said it was COLD lol so you couldnt wander outside for long before needing somewhere warm. Ended up at the 420 around 3.45 so kinda early for the 420 meet, but guess who was already there.... yep SoulRider perched on the end of the bar, I recognised him immediately which was jsut as well lol Had a nice n chat n picked up 2g of the SilverHaze lovely n smooth smoke Chatted with SR for a while and got introduced to someone else off here, but for some reason I cant recall his forum name (sorry ). Had my first ever smoke(?) use(?) of SR vaporiser intersting hit I have to admit and something I will try again before I'm already wasted as I'd like to examine the hit.

Cant recall what time we left as I was trying to figure out a plan of attack for where to be for the evenings celebrations, SR had already said he wanted to be at the Dam (did you make it??) and I knew we werent planning for there. So was running out people to ask. I knew the 'dam was the officail party and that Nieuwmarkt was gonna be the most lively in terms of fireworks (given its location next to china town does that surprise anyone?) and that Leidseplein was going to be somewhere in between. We decided thats where we wanted to go, so headed in that direction and called into Otherside on the way (cant recall what i bought in here and its bugging me, only place i didnt write it down lol)
Found a nice little bar overlooking the square and enjoyed the evenings entertainments, some huge fireworks going off and me being a muppet niavely thought it was the local community pitching in, turns out its the local kids lmao, no hassle from anyone just got on with it and darted around, just before midnight we headed to outside to enjoy the party some more twas a good night as we headed home (took us 2 hours to give you an idea of the fun along the way)
