Virgin Trip & Green Crossing

Post by drayman86 »

My travel plans are complete; I booked the flight and hotel today. This will be my virgin trip to the Dam, and my first time across the Atlantic to Europe. Having reached 45 years of age, I thought it was about bloody time I saw a bit of the world, and could think of no finer place to begin than Amsterdam.

I'll be landing at Schiphol around noon on Sunday, October 4, 2009 for a seven night stay at the Greenhouse Effect.

Thanks much to the mods for maintaining this fantastic resource, and thanks also to all the posters who contribute to the threads. If not for this website and forum, I'd be flying blind, staying at too expensive a hotel and not knowing a flippin' thing about the coffeeshops.

Thanks again, ACD and all it's members!

Didn't really choose a specific room. Booked it through hostelbookers.com. Just specified a single room w/ private bath.

Congrats, you are the first person posted on the October Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your visit.
I am sure between now and then I will post many more people.

For first timers I always suggest S G Collins excellent

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

Remember, if you have a camera with you and always ask first,
take pictures of coffeeshop menus and email them to me.
I'll post it on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Be sure to let me know how you want it credited.
I can put links either web or mailto in the credits.
If you want to remain completely unknown let me know.
I'll post it as Anon.

Enjoy
