Maybe it was jus the policy of this particular shop, don't remember the name as it was in 06, but at that time I was 61 and was asked for my passport and they were serious.
While I admit I look a little younger than my age.......

Thats strange mate, i've been asked for I.D a few times over the years and have always had my drivers license( and at one point my Provisional drivers license) accepted without any problem. My passport never leaves my accomodation.

So I was wondering, seeing as I have never been to Amsterdam before, what can I do to get pot? Should I buy a fake ID? I have read conflicting stories about how the police in Amsterdam can spot a fake 20 meters away, and some stories on how they don't even ask for your ID.
Would these ID's pass?

Or is it not worth it? Would anyone buy it for us from within the cafe? If we don't take fake ID (I don't want to take fake id, but I will if we have to), is there anywhere that is lenient on the age limit? I reckon I could pass for a young 18 year old...
You could go to Poland. There may be 600g there soon. g'luck...
