Not to break this interesting thread, but ACD is back up, was just moving.
All these forums serve a purpose, so I don't understand the need for anamosity towards each other.
I have partied in A'Dam with people from Channels, ACD, and VDF, and gotten along well with all.

Hehehe, I don't do drama. That's why I'll shake your hand, say "Howdy", &
be on my way. Also why I spend more time here than there.

That'd be Channels fer ya! Some useful info, mostly fighting. I used to be a member. Occasionally post as my ACD name.

Was richwes before I came up with twitch.
Channels was actually the first forum I ever found, but never enjoyed it very much.
Used to come here for maps and info and when forum started signed on as twitch as my epilepsy has started and seemed like a good name.
Post occasionally, but nothing like here or VDF.

At times you could read it for hours and never know it was a forum dedicated to Amsterdam

Depends on what section you read, the guest section's a joke, the Bar is exactly what you'd expect in a bar and the ones dedicated to Amsterdam, Coffeeshops, RLD, Europe & Meeting Place generally stick to the topic and to be honest it's the best forum for Amsterdam info.

I had been a member of channels for quite some time; almost 10 years. I left that forum, a couple of years ago, because of all the childishness and BS that goes on there. It was a very good forum with tons of Mokum information, if you waded thru all the crap. There were some really nice folks that I met thru channels meet n greets. I havent been back to that forum for a couple of years.

This morning I received this email from the webmaster:

Maybe Bas is really trying to make a change to his web site. I guess only time will tell. I am committed to ACD now and dont think I will be going back to "that other forum" but I wish them all the best. Peace.

As did I, but that thread I posted has gotten much, much worse since I posted it.
As far as general information about Amsterdam I think ACD probably has more info with it's maps, reviews etc.
