Reading through previous cannabis cups, I noticed one of the judges was Ed Rosenthal. If you read one of his books, it's hard to conclude he's a newbie!

Having tried the weed from another cannabis cup judge last year, I do hope to be there for the 2009 cup!

The problem is you ASSUME that people go to the cup and ALL buy the judge passes.

I go to the cup but would never spend my money on a judges pass. During the cup there is more variety of weed on sale than at any other time of year, because all the shops have their traditional menus, and a few extra, namely the cup entries.

They take it very seriously and try to make their weed the best, as they want to win the cup. I don't see what your problem is with the cup?

People moaning that its not as good as it used to be? For fucks sake, people moan that everything is not like it used to be, about anything. Even if they don't even know what it used to be like.

Dutchies speak to me in Dutch, and sometimes I even reply in Dutch, but hey, what does that prove? Seems like a completely irrelevant point to make in a post about the cannabis cup.

Someone else posted the following a while back, and I tend to agree: I don't think it's so much about the country, but more about the fact that Amsterdam attracts those kind of people from every country (i.e. hard drug using hooligans). It also attracts harmless tokers, who couldn't care less about "running the city", it just depends on who you meet.

I haven't done the CC so can't comment. If it's EUR200, do you get your smokes worth? How much of each strain do you get to try?
