I've been doing a little reserch for my up coming trip and stumbled upon this page

Very interesting stuff for people who still enjoy buying Records.
My only experience is of the third one down, Record Friend just up the street from the Bluebird. I spent over 150euros in there in October

There's also this Place http://www.record-palace.nl/. It was closed when I tried in June last year but it looks like a wax Lovers wet dream!

Why did you have to do that Twitch?

I have just finished re-organising my flat, and I've put all my records in the rack, and they fit perfectly. I've only got 600 left, down from 5000+ at it's peak, and now I'm looking at record shops in Amsterdam.

I only bought a turntable two years ago( I'm only 25,Grew up on tapes and C.D's) and am nearing the 100 mark.

Dont think I'll ever stop buyin Wax now, I particularly like buying Blues,Soul and Funk on Wax. Just sounds better.

I still buy C.D's though. Havn't gave in to downloads, I shudder at the thought

I've been to all those shops, Secondlife was a couple of doors down from an apartment i rented for 6 months a few years ago, so I was in there all the time - a hop and a skip from la tertulia CS

Wax well used to be Kids Love Wax - I think I went in there the first week it opened - some great tunes - but expensive

Record Friend is great for re-issues and has a room full of cheap vinyl 4 da diggaz

Record Plaace is really nice - but a bit more jazzy

Amstel is a good spot - just up from Bushdoctor CS - that lady is lovely - she gave me about 10 euro credit in there once as I did not have enough for my purchase - and i'd only been in therre a couple of times - now that's trust

Also recommend highly is Record Mania by the Heinekenplein - Ive got an apartment just round the corner and it's got tonnes of interesting stuff to go through

I sell records through Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?seller=blackshore) and am currently in the proces of moving about 20,000 to my Amsterdam apartment

I'll be over ther full time by Feb so if anyone wants to buy anything of me then let me know and we can hook up to save on postage - I'm gonna be adding another 5-10,000 by the spring

What does everyone collect - I collect mailnly 80s disco/House 86-91/Balearic - i'm a 12" addict

You gotta stop putting that t in his name lol. I'm 63 and he's 25.

I have about 400 records , all from the 50's thru 80's mainly and most are in original jackets.
Mine are mainly jazz, blues, folk and classical and early rock.
Plan on giving them to my grandkids when they get old enough to appreciate them.
