Hi guys I just joined up and thought I would seek advice from others regarding something.


This may be in the wrong thread but i have looked around and can't seem to find the right place to post, so I picked the one with most replies...

I went to Amsterdam in 2001 for a stag weekend, I have been a smoker for 20yr and plan to go back in April with my family.

However when I went in 2001 I was so wasted I tried for the very 1st time cocaine, 1 of the guys in the party passed this bullet shaped device to me and I just took it up the hooter. BIG MISTAKE!!!

This was on the street outside a cafe and low and behold the police seen me, They came over and issued me with this pink ticket for using cocaine on the street. I didn't deny it......No point.

Anyway I was advised to return the following May in 2002 to attend court where I would be fined 100 Guilders, I asked what would happen if I didn't go back, Would they come to the UK and arrest me??

They informed me that if I didn't go back the following year then when I do return to Amsterdam I must report to a police station and pay a fine of 300 Guilders.

Well now is the time for me to return. I am going over with my wife and children for 10 days. My wife say's I should just forget about it and not let it worry me. (Worry!!! lol must be the weed that causes that!)

I am not staying in the Dam but near Wasenaar so will only be there when I get off the ferry.

So 2 questions.....
1: Has anyone on here ever been arrested and told to go back to court and never did, but still go to Amsterdam.

2: Where can I get smoke if I don't want to go in the Dam and don't want to drive anywhere as I am freaking about driving incase i have a bump.... Never driven abroad and if that was to happen and the police get involved I'll panick if they ask if I have ever been before and they cotton on I should have went back to court....

At the time of arrest I had no ID and just gave my name,DOB and place of birth.....

Advice appreciated..

I suppose reporting to a police station like they said and paying the fine is a non starter ?

seeing as you only gave them your vital details; name dob place of birth etc, i personally dont think they'll be able to charge you with anything if you dont turn up, surely if you didnt show them I.D you could just be blagging you name etc..
you dont want something like this ruining your trip so i'd either go and pay the fine to get it out of your head or decide not to go and try and forget about it before you leave

mate dont sweat it, given the numbers that go through the dam police your small fry and not worth recording....

now if you want to clear you conscience then please feel free to go to your local police station and report your mistermeanour and watch them laugh and still prosecute you if your unlucky

go relax and enjoy your holidays.... plenty of cs's to visit and no worries

Cheers guys, I am unsure what to do as yet, the holiday is booked and paid for so no backing out now.
My biggest concern is that I have moved on with life and hold quite a good job which requires enhanced disclosure. If any offence was to rise I'd lose it straight away.
If anything should happen I'd deny I was there and just plead innocent that someone who knows me must have used my name etc... There was no ID taking,no photo or anything other than details forementioned.. I think I am just being paranoid....
However I think I'll just get out of the dam asap and get to my destination,use public transport and go to the hague..
So anyone any good ideas how to get from wassenaar area to a CS to get my weeks supply..
I know the limit is 5g but can you also buy pre rolled joints and space cake on top of this...

Wassenaar, I take it you're stopping at Duinrell?

I've been and the water park is brilliant, the slides are amazing stoned.

Closest place for coffeeshops is Den Haag, just go on your first day and buy 5 grams from each shop you visit.

how did you guess, i think that's what i'll do, get there on the 1st day.. can you get cake and rolled smokes on top of your 5g


Also just had a thought, how would they work out how much the fine would be now as it was guilders and now there in the euro....
