Here's an important point no one has brought up. WASH ANYTHING YOU SMUGGLE if you intend to be anywhere near a dog! Think this over, you pick yp weed with your hands, then bag it 5 times with weed covered hands! If you're using real airtight bags, they should sure as fuck all be waterproof. Between each bag, wash it in dish soap and water. Dry it, next bag, same thing, repeat as necessesary for your own comfort.

Not saying I would do it anyways, but I got barked into a interogation room once because I had used a $2 note to roll joints before and it was just in my wallet. They let me go just fine once I demonstrated that the dog was only interested in the bill, but if there was ganj down my pants...

I said earlier it would be best to hand wash between each layer when wrapping as well .

My buddy came back from Mexico after two weeks at an all-inclusive. He bought weed on the beach every couple days. His only comment about the smoke was that it was abnormally sticky compared to his usual bud.

They didn't bring anything back, but coming through customs, one of the dogs starting licking his hands.

Seems they could still smell the leftovers and he was pulled aside for a complete check top to bottom including anal.

Nothing was found, but he and the missus were still a little rattled. might be worth an aggressive hand wash coming home.

yah, residue aint nothing to fuck with. often the dogs never even get around to figuring out where on you the drugs are because they smell it on your hands or clothes. rubber gloves are cheap, spare no expense to protect your freedom. crossing national borders with any amount of drugs on you is a serious business that should not be taken lightly.

hate to use the T word, you have to go to the same lengths that a terrorist would to get his contraband through a checkpoint. because in the end its the same game, get something on and off the plane without being detected. your only advantage is that you arent actively wanted (hopefully*).

Guys smuggling bud back, however you choose to do it is all about luck. You can take precautions to increase chances, but whatever you do if they have dogs, searchs etc the chances of you getting away with it are slim to fuck all, before a bunch of annecdotel stories get thrown at me i am aware some people have got away with it. But many more have been busted, any method other than posting has huge risks, if you get a custom officer who is mellow about it and gives you a slap on the wrists then good for you. It is more likely you'll get a pissed off, do it by the book guy with big hands and a wedding ring, guess where that fuckers going to be putting that ring if he busts you.... Then we start with the possible prison time, all because of the smuggling

Any idea you can possibly think of for smuggling has probably been tired, and if there is a fool proof way of doing it, do you think anyones going to tell even less likely on a open internet forum. Post it, good luck with it, if you ended up getting a prostate massage from a angry custom agent, dont say you anit been warned.

Recently I pulled apart an ounce of slightly damp bud to let the air get at it. When I finished my fingertips were covered in resin (which was a nice sign I thought).

I washed my hands with soap and hot water several times and the resin did not come off. I tried some heavy-duty hand cleaner and after much scrubbing some of the resin came off, but there was still some left on my fingers.

Then I used an alcohol-based hand wipe and it all came off easily.

From this I concluded that soap and hot water does not remove the traces of resin on fingers etc., and that alcohol was the only substance that gets rid of all the traces.

Is there a chemist in the house?

Maybe try a hand sanatizer they have a high alcohol content and no one will wonder why you have it with you.

As Sir Niall rightly says, there are far more people who get busted than you realise... post the stuff back if you don't want leave yourself open to a lot of aggravation going through customs..

You have to remember as well that they'll make a note of your passport number if you do get caught, even with a little bit... and you'll get looked at a hell of a lot more vigorously every time you pass through customs and your details flag up on their systems.

Personally, it's not worth the hassle every time I fly, particularly as I have easy access to perfectly good weed over here...

I've never even posted anything back for exactly the same reason - I rarely buy more than I can consume in Amsterdam, so it really isn't worth the risk.

The drug sniffer dogs are too feckin' good at their jobs, and can detect the smallest trace unless you've made a superhuman effort to conceal it, and even then, it's touch and go.

Alcohol based wipes seem to be quite effective at removing resin, because if I'm not mistaken, it's alcohol soluble? But even easier, as has been mentioned by Clayman - rubber gloves. Job done.

I'm not a chemist, but its simple. Cannabinoids are soluable in alcohol. (You could also use other (non-polar) solvents, but they can be very dangerous in confined spaces (As in kaboom!! ), so I don't recommend them. Cannabinoids are not very soluable in water, so water will pretty much do squat to get the resin of your fingers.

IMO, rubbing alcohol (i.e likely what is in your alcohol-based hand wash) would be the best way to wash the resin from your hands. Cannabinoids are also soluable in fats. Maybe olive oil or butter would work, but then you would have to wash these off your hands.

And ya, IMO, smuggling is just not worth the risks.

Same thing happened to me coming into the US a few years ago. I'd been smoking before I left Jamaica and, despite using perfume and changing tee shirts, the dog sniffed me out and I had a strip search. They told me it was cuz the smell had stuck to my clothes.

I got sniffed out a couple of times after that as apparently once the dog sniffs you once the same one will recognise your smell every time.

The hash is 5 grams and the weed is 7 grams each although i had smoked a few out of each before the photo was taken.
