coffee shops near the ferry port

Hi all...
I have had a look at the map and don't really know my bearings of Amsterdam, I will be going into Amsterdam on the ferry and will be driving. I am not staying in the dam and need to get to my destination ASAP. I would like to get my smoke and get on my way as I will have the family with me.

Is there any places close enough to walk from the port or would I just be better getting to my destination and jumping on a bus to the hague.

Advice appreciated..

i'm not sure where the ferry port is..but my first question would be, how long do you have between arriving and the time your bus leaves?

I am driving over for a holiday and will be there quite early in the morning, I have looked at the parking forAmsterdam and have read that it is really bad to find spaces to park and if I did manage to find anywhere it'd cost in the region of £20plus.

The port is Ijmuiden and I can't find that on the Map page..

I hoe that helps in the advice your able to give.

Thanks

I dont think theres any coffeeshops in Ijmuiden so I'd go for the bus into Den Haag option.

Yes Beverwijk, I can ride my bike from the Ijmuiden Peer to Spliff in Beverwijk in 15 minutes, so it's 5 minutes by car. As you drive toward the freeway you go through Beverwijk. Right across from the train station which you see from your car is a parking lot. Park there, walk away from the train station to the main drag. Spliff is one street west of the main Drag on the same end of the street as the parking lot. You cannot park in front of Spliff as it is a narrow one-way street. It has a green front and anyone could point you too it. Good luck.

Hi Bedge

That's the best news I've heard yet, I will be looking out for this the second I get off the boat. I'm really looking forward to going and would like it to be as stress free as I will have the family with me when I score, and just want to dash in, get stuff and on my way.

Do you know if there is parking close by as that seems to be my 2nd concern.

Cheers for info

Hi i think you will be able to park on the terminal for a short time.
but we parked on the street round a corner from the coffee shop within 10 meters no problems.the prices are better than in amsterdam as well.
The only problem is there is no bank to exchange cash or any public telephones within miles.Thats how i know the terminal is very close to joe cools as i was looking for a phone and thought a ferry terminal is bound to have a pay phone wrong.
have a look @
http://maps.google.nl/

and paste in
Kanaalstraat 25 1975 BA Ijmuiden
to see a good map
hope this helps
