Have to be honest this was the place that first popped into my mind when I read the OP, but as shown there are a few aboutPuffin13 wrote:It sounds to me like the shop you were in is The Old Man head shop on the Damstraat. Head shop @street level; upstairs outdoor clothing and equipment; next level up is the knife, sword, utility tool and flashlight sales area. Sound familiar? Peace.
More shopping trips planed lol
anything i say to offend is purely innocent...
OP, the shop you describe is the Old Man. without doubt.
My last trip I bought a stupidly expensive torch/flashlight from there, with built in 5 settings of brightness, an SOS flash option and a rapid strobe light function which is apparently used to disorientate the enemy when units like the SAS are room clearing, with the torch mounted to their guns. Best torch I've ever bought and piercingly bright.
Also check out the shop called DUMP too, they have some good hardware, located down some escalators off Nieuwendijk. Just don't get caught carrying a knife in the city as the Police will have your arse.

I have a nice 6" brass butterfly knife I bought years ago, got it down to a fine art opening it with one hand at lightning speed. I never, ever carry a knife around with me though, apart from a small Swiis army knife, but do have switch, flick, ninja star, huge WWII bayonet and an authentic antique German army flick knife embossed with that infamous eagle.
