Without actually meeting them , It's hard for me to put a number on it I'm afraid. Besides making sweeping statements like that isn't my thing .
Well, since you got the decade wrong, in your earlier reply (Actually, the joke went that, "if you could remember the 60's you weren't really there"), I thought it might be fun to see what kind of answer you came up with next.
The acid in the 60's was, in general, way more powerful than the acid in the 70's. This might have lead to more people freaking out. However, the acid in the 70's, where I lived, was about 250-300 mic's strong. It certainly was NOT Owsley Acid, but it beat the hell out of any of the acid from the 90's and any you could find today (and it is not very common today)
DC, was your assertion that acid is only good if it makes you freak out?
I was NOT speaking for all people who took acid in the 70's, only my friends.
NONE of my friends freaked out, although one time, when tripping, we got into a huge rumble, and when my buddy kicked this guy's head, the sound it made did bother me. I worried for the rest of the trip that he may have killed the guy. Although, I think I would have worried about that even if I was sober.
In any event, NO grass is as powerful as acid, AND the LD50 dose of grass is humongous (to the point of being not humanly possible to consume), so that is why I find it strange when I hear of people "overdoing it" with cannabis?
That's just me. I have a reasonably strong background in toxicology (If anyone else here has reviewed as many tox reports as I have I would be quite surpised), so when I hear about people "overdoing it" on cannabis, my first thought is that the person stating this is a "Reefer Madness" style prohibitionist. As such, I usually challenge prohibitionist bullshit, head on.
I am willing to accept that I may be wrong. Maybe some people can freak out on grass?
