You know it, Stan...we had a kickass time. You and Mike and Soulrider were really great and knowledgeable helping us find the best gear. We are in the very beginning stages of planning the next trip..it will not be right away, but not too long either.

Thankfully I was able to avoid any pee pain, and of course I didn't eat any Yellow Snow. I did, however smoke a ton. I bought 5 gms of SSH a gram each of the Stargazer, Chocolope, LA Con and one other weed I don't recall. Most of my buys were hash. I got an Ice Hash at La Turtullia (sp?) that comes in 5 gram coins with a decoration stamped in it....I initially wanted to get a whole coin, but by then I had bought so many thc products, I only got a gram....I highly regret that now. As stated before I loved the oily, sticky perfection of the dark Royal Jelly and Star Trek Hashes. I got what was called a Supreme Polm, which was a lovely tasting, but mellow high. My first of all was the Golden Morrocan from Rockerij, which was also nice, but not life changing. I got at least 5 other grams of ice hashes, a temple ball hash, and loose hash that was unpressed (I had wanted the gunpowder trichs, but they were out) The unpressed grains were a perfect top dressing to a bowl, as they melted down into the weed.

Then of course there was a huge amount of cones passed to us by our group of friends, one great one was the Terminator melting down a joint that Mike started up, it was a head ringer! Soulrider sent around powerful joints throughout our first night, as did Stan, which if I remember right he brought on the Martian Mean Green which has a definite kick as well. Then there were tons of volcano bags of various perfect tasting weeds and hashes. It was a bummer that SoulRider's last day in the Dam was our first day, but Mike and Stan were there throughout, so Wes and I were always with friends.

All that made for a floaty, creatively stimulating fog that lasted those 5 days, plus the remaining 13 days across Europe with my haul. It even re-started my fire for doing oil pastels and painting...I got pastels and canvas paper in Paris. (I've not picked up a brush or pastel in over 15 years)

IT was an overall wanton cannabis gauntlet. There are many reasons for my poor memory:

1. the list above :D

2. The "kid in the candy store effect" I was overwhelmed and the choice and quality to the point it was almost manic...I didn't always pay attention to the trough I was feeding from, I was just buying candy....I was happier than a dork at Christmas.

3. Trying to fit it all in. Going to all the places Ive read about.

4. Though a 30 year smoker, I was a Dam rookie.

5. With my condition, I take a heavy amount of opiates, they fog the memory and I hate that. What I hate worse is that the opiates often take away the full effect of weed, but the thc does work wonders in filling the gap in pain relief that opiates do not fill.

6. It was living a dream and since the details of dreams fade somewhat, I am very glad for the friends Ive made here that shared in the cannabis experience of my life, who can fill in the gaps and keep the memories stoked.

7. Almost forgot this...we went on to Paris for 4 nights, Florence for 4 nights, and Rome for 5 nights, so the collective experiences, and smoking all the way probably fuzzed me a bit more.

Perhaps thats the best way for me to describe the trip. Being an artist I tend toward disorganization as a rule, so trying to be chronological just wouldn't work for me. It was all part of one large canvas of experiences I won't forget, though the where/when detail may not be exact, I remember all that was said and shared, and for me thats the best way, as Declan McManus would say, it is painted from memory.

I do still need to get a list of all the shops we went to.

You know what one not so good experience was/is? I came back home with 200 euros. I now have a dilemma. Exchange fees and other costs make it useless to exchange them. I could offer them dollar for dollar to a pilgrim headed to cannabis mecca (borrowed term)...what to do? Perhaps it means I have an excuse to come back as soon as possible.

Put the notes in a frame, hang them up, stare at them till you need to take them down for you're next trip  !

Nice report BTW :!:

That is an excellent idea! Looking at the 50 euro notes daily would be a good reminder and incentive to get the the Dam trip in the works...thanks for that idea.

I am glad that everyone seems to enjoy our travelogue, though I am short on exacts. Twich did an amazing job collecting photos as he goes. I brought 2 cameras and the idea never dawned on me, so kudos for that, it makes a great story visual. (are you still in the Dam now?)

I finallly did remember my forgotten indica. It was LSD, and Im sure Mike may help me with where I got it. Most here know I'm a rabid Sativa fan, but I do like a nighttime indica to unwind, lower the pain level and just relax.

I feel lucky I happened upon this site. I am sure we would have enjoyed ourselves had we not found this, but we wouldn't have met all the great people, and we would never have known all the best places.

Before I forget, and even if I don't post another chronological date, I must Speak of Day 3.

Day 3: Tour of Haarlem and North Sea with Milehigh's tour. We had an imperative while in Europe we wanted to see as many Seas as we could, and I wanted to see Haarlem after all I had read about it.

Milehigh picked us up at our hotel, though we overslept. We and his Girlfriend made our way out into the country toward Haarlem. He and she pointed out some interesting and historical sites, including some nazi bunkers in The Dunes near the North Sea.

Before going on I should also point out he took me to LaTertulia (sp?) where I had wanted to go since day one, cuz they have the ice hash that is pressed into coins. I originally wanted the whole coin, but by day 3 I had spent so much on weed and hash, I decided on just a gram. I still regret that decision, it was great ice hash.

Back on the road to Haarlem. I had wanted to go to Willie Wortels Sinsemilla, but Milehigh told us the Wortels Indica would have a better selection. I can't recall what I got there, since we we getting really high by then, but back at La Tertulia I think we picked up some delicious thc chocolate bars which were terrific for travel.

Anyway, got some great photos and video in Haarlem, plus we had an excellent fish dinner at a place they recommended by the shore...which I now recommend. My son, Wes and I are trying to make as large a lists of States, Countries and Oceans as possible, so the North Sea was awesome to see, it was especially cool to see the boats come up and down the harbor canal.

I enjoyed the tour. Being our first voyage to Amsterdam, or Europe at all, we needed a chance to go outside the normal central areas, and see things not normally seen by foot or tram. Plus I never want to drive a car in Europe if I can avoid it, so I am very thankful for that as well. Thanks for the tour.
