Train From Schiphol: Schedule & Ticket Machine

Found the NS website, which has some cool features. You can check precise schedules from Schiphol to Centraal Station
HERE. Just type "Schiphol" in the "From" box and "Amsterdam Centraal" in the "To" box. Select date and time, and get a complete schedule, including departure track number. Great for me, since I don't want to f up and find, board the wrong loco, and myself in Germany or some such thing.
Here's the cool part: you can practice purchasing a ticket from the kiosk with
THIS on-line example. If you're a Yank like me, remember to click the Union Jack at the bottom for English.
Train's a great deal for Euro 3.90 one way. Only takes about 20 minutes, and I understand the station is directly below Schiphol.

Good idea, but still check your tracks. If you hear something in Dutch and everyone takes off, be sure you know what's going down.

Thanks, great suggestions as always dude. Believe you're referring to a track change for the train announced in Dutch.

Yeah. The Schipol train runs every 15mins so I don't think there would be a problem. I was thinking to a time when I was in Germany. All of a sudden everyone waiting for the train took off really quick. So we followed. Turns out there was a trainwreck and they had to take people by cab to the next station.

Can i collect a train ticket via a fast ticket machine from a different train station? I'm wanting a cheap advance ticket from Yarm however Yarm station is unstaffed and tickets are to be purchased on the train - I'm a student! So i was wondering if i could book a ticket online and collect it from Thornaby train station - though Thornaby is not part of my journey?

Another site you may find useful is:
http://journeyplanner.9292.nl/
You just plug in the to and from, and it will tell you which train/bus/tram etc. you need to get there. Came in very handy while planning a day trip to the WWII museum in Overloon. Required a train trip (with train change), and then a bus ride (with bus change), but I've got the full schedule of train and bus, track numbers, bus numbers, stop names, etc. all from this site.
