Yeah i hear you but its just i can,t find like a definative top ten list on this site if you can help it would be appreaciated and plus asking i find it easier to get exactly what i want

That's due to the subjective nature. I'd check the trip reports and I'll bet you'll find some shops and strains that pop up frequently.

Sure enough. My top ten may be different from everyone else.

But trust me on one thing: the MOST fun you'll have is exploring and discovering these things for yourself. Figuring out your own top ten, checking different clubs, etc.

That's what keeps me coming back.

Too true. I didn't join this forum until after my second trip, but I have used the map for my first trip. Nothing beats getting lost and stumbling across coffeeshops that might appeal to you.

I've been to Amsterdam over 20 times and still enjoy 'getting lost' every trip, always something new around the corner.

Oh, the 5 gram limit is the limit a coffeeshop is supposed to sell you in one visit by law. Technically, weed ain't legal in the Netherlands, just so ya know.

The Law

Technically, the legal situation is quite complicated. International treaties preclude the Netherlands from legalising cannabis, even if they wanted to. Cannabis is illegal in Holland but possession of a small quantity is considered to be a misdemeanour rather than a criminal offence.

In practice, the possession of up to 30 grams (about an ounce) is permitted. You can only buy 5 grams at a time, though, so you could be asked to explain if you are carrying more than 5 grams.

Regulations for coffee shops include:

* No advertising
* No exporting outside of the Netherlands
* Absolutely No Hard Drugs



* A maximum quantity of 5 grams sold to each customer
* A maximum of 500 grams of stock
* No sales to under 18s

Incidentally, the 500 gram stock rule is routinely broken by the busier shops. It is used by the authorities as a pretence for occasional random raids to keep an eye on them.

I'd suggest going through these boards to find some shops that seem to have a high rating (keeping in mind that they are personal opinions, so your milage may vary .)

As for good weed: I would tell the staff what type of buzz you want and let them make suggestions. In my opinion, most good CS's, will have staff that can get you something to fit the bill.

Why, specifically an OZ? I think you might enjoys many, smaller samples of many different varieties of weed. You might find something really special if you do it that way. AND you'd get to sample many different shops.

what only 5 grams hey there must be someplace where i can re-up an ounce[/quote] might be easier to grab weight back home fella, as your best chance would be gettin it away from the regulated channels, which also has its pitfalls. as for women, try the clubs round rembrandtplein. when i used to head over with the boys, we always seemed to meet girls from all over europe in our hostel who, like you, were new to the dam. they were always up for a guided tour of the rld etc. so where you stayin?
by th way, i fly home the day before you arrive and i intend to be on this forum during our stay, so if anything becomes relevant i'll post it. woulndn't hold yr breath on the oz though...you'll go blue.

As I have posted before, just go in and ask, most coffeeshops will gladly give you whatever you ask for, although you may have to meet up with the dealer away from the shop, but it is all good.

Oh and 1 piece of advice DO NOT ASK FOR AN OUNCE.

Dutch are and have always been metric, they have no idea what an ounce is, so they have appropriated the word to mean 100g. If you ask for an ounce, they will turn up with 100g, and you will be expected to pay for it there and then, or the consequences will be severe, if you know what I mean. Always ask in grams.

Ive been to Dam a couple times over the past few months and ive tried so much weed its a struggle to reember which is which..... But i found the Cheese strain or Blue Cheese to be the most enjoyable and smokable munk. The best place for Cheese is Homegrown Fantasy or Dampring (in my opinion), the best Blue Cheese i tried was from the overpriced Barney's (13E for a gram). I got some Blue Cheese from the Bushdoctor but it didnt match up to what i got from Barney's. I cant comprise a top 10 but i can give u a top 5.

3. Utopia Haze, Barney's (15E, 1g)
4. LA Con, Dampring (10.5E, 1g)
5. White Widow, Baba (8.5E, 1g)

Gotta try the Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse and G13 from Rokerij II.

I think the prices are right, if not close. ANd of course this is just my opinion, which i gather u wanted by the question which so many people replied with no help lol. For chicks mate, there everywhere, Leidesplein is the place ive been told 2 go 2 to mingle with local talent!!!! Ive only been in BananaBar and the strip club at the end of Skinny Alley!!! Both worth visiting, but im more into my weed then the chicks in Dam... got 2 many at home lol

Im in Dam on February 8th for the Jedi Mind Tricks concert if ure still out dere maybe we could hook up for a joint and u could give me some pointer as to which weed i should purchase on this trip

hey I haven't booked it yet we are thinking blue western and I prefer more weed than hash but I am definately having some hash
