Haarlem finally

Post by moby69 »

I've been to Amsterdam 7 times , and never been to Haarlam.
So this time I am going to go on a day trip for sure.
I'm just at the planning stage just now, so ALL information is welcome.
If someone can answer the following I will be really grateful.

How regular are the trains ?

What times the last one back to Dam ?

What shops are must visits ?

Is there a coffeeshop map online , like the Dam one ?

Like I said . all info welcome.

Thanks guys

Roughly every 15-20 mins.

Looks like 1:20am

Easy Going is my favourite but High Times and Empire are quite good as well.

Pretty sure FBN has a rough map somewhere.

When you have firm dates, get them to me. I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.

HERE is a map of Haarlem with some, not all, of the coffeeshops marked on it.

My favorite of the bunch is Birdy, which is just north of the train station.

Check the Haarlem menus page for Birdy's and several others menus.

Enjoy

Thanks I will let you know.
I'm planning on headin through early doors . and spending the whole day there.
So any other places worth visiting there apart from coffeeshops let me know.
Gonna have dinner at Wilma & Albert"s Steakhouse , as I've heard great things about the place.

Baston in Haarlem is the best keep secret. A great place to hang out. It is included on the Haarlem Ganja tour. Sometimes we stay awhile and shoot some pool. Don't forget the "Take away" shop in Haarlem west. Regine is closed. All WW are open.

Oh cool. Let me know what it says when you punch in "Take Away". Also, while in Haarlem don't forget the V&D and all the great hidden hoffa's(gardens).

cheers,

Speaking of Haarlem; Does anyone know how the Willie Wortel Shops are doing?

I used to visit their web-site quite often, but it seems that nothing ever happens there anymore. Also, I heard that some of their shops had closed.

Did Nol sell the shops to another person or company?
