Today is a dark day
what a fucking fucking piss take.
you know i knew this day was coming, it was announced a while back... but i just couldnt really accept it, and kind of put it to the back of my mind.
that saggy faced cunt, who i didnt vote for, you didnt vote for, not a single person in this country voted for has taken us BACK in time.
class B again? jesus fucking christ. so in what way has all the campaigning and research, that saw cannabis downgraded changed in the last 5 years? his own advisors advised against upgrading. his own party were the ones who down graded.
this spinless cunt has buckled to the 'daily mail' readers of this country.
all this means is more arrests and more criminal records for simple possesion? what the fuck good does that achieve?
apparently cannabis use is endemic in this country. endemic is another word for accepted you cunt.

Technically no one voted for his pre-decessor either, we lowly cattle can only vote for the party of our choice....CHELSEA_SMOKERS_SOCIETY wrote:that saggy faced cunt, who i didnt vote for, you didnt vote for, not a single person in this country voted for has taken us BACK in time.

In England we vote for parties not indivituals. There are oppurtunitys to change this, it wont happen because the smoking community is too reluctent to make any productive steps towards a type of situation in Holland. There were and are loads of groups which are active in trying to change the situation, these groups are in need of support the more they gain the more power there will be to change the situation. We were closer in 60's than we are now.

Utter shite. So much scientific and social evidence exists, and they just throw it out the window.
A mate e-mailed me the following stats:
This is unbelievable, but true!
Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 600 employees and has the following employee statistics .
29 have been accused of spouse abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
9 have been accused of writing bad cheques
17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year
Which organisation is this ?
It's the 635 members of the House of Commons, the same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in-line.
What a bunch of bastards we have running our country - it says it all. And just to top all that they probably have the best 'corporate' pension scheme in the country!!

Brown certainly is a right Berkly Hunt!
The re-classification is pure bullshit!
Their argument for doing so re: mental illness is also pure bullshit.
Cannabis use is skyrocketing in the UK, according to sociologists. If cannabis cause psychosis as the bullshiters (read gutter snipe press) say it is, then why are the mental illness figures not showing any sign of increase? (Are they trying to imply that without cannabis, the mental illnees rates would be plumetting??.. What fucking nonsense!!!!)
It was a spineless action to take, by spineless politicians!
Hopefully, Labour will pick a real Labour person the next time around.
In my opinon, I have always thought the slogan "New Labour" really should be "New Labour = Old Tories". (I even made a T-Shirt to that end)
Unfortunately, if they pick another twat, like Brown, then if not Labour, then who to choose? The fucking Tories? --> Not bloody likely.

Hmm with the £80 fine looks like yet another earner for HM Gov...
The criminalizing of the pot using community and the implicit upholding of the black market continues.
As a policy it stinks and is far removed from what should be...
Legal users and legal supply
One day we may have politicains who can grasp this basic idea but they will have to take thier heads out of the sand first
FFS Gordon didn't even see the recession coming despite his policies playing thier part in it. Borrowing huge amounts is not a long term solution DOH
So we should not really be surprised at how poorly they grasp the issues involved in drug legislation.
NB untill we remove the first past the post system in our politics will remain firmly rooted in the 19 th centuary with the 2 main parties gaining power only

I think you will find it is true!doobydave wrote: Oh, don't take this personally Sir Niall, butis not at all true.In England we vote for parties not indivituals.
The British system is you vote for a party, the party chooses their leader via their own system
With labour the membership get the choice with the tory’s the MP’s get the choice (not the membership)
& I believe that the actual procedure is the leader of the party is asked to form a government which could mean they appoint someone other than the leader to be prime minister
Anyone who casts their vote at a general election based on who they want to be prime minister & not what party they want in power has totally misunderstood how the system works

I always thought the vote was cast for a party, which is represented by an individual, who puts a face to the party. I could be wrong but im pretty sure im right with this one, as i always believed it was a very good way to approach elections. I reckon SR could help with this one.doobydave wrote:Each vote cast is for a representative of the constituency you vote within.
An individual.

You vote for your chosen MP for your area. He/she will be a member of a political party, and the party with the biggest share gets leadership...Sir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:I always thought the vote was cast for a party, which is represented by an individual, who puts a face to the party.
