I'm asking because my wife is coming with me and she wants to smoke. Ive read on another forum that some coffeeshop owners and budtenders give women the evil eye. Anyone come across that behavior before and if you have, where was it so we can avoid it?

I have smoked with many women in a lot of coffeeshops and never had a problem because one or more of the party were female. If they were good looking women they might have gotten an ogling eye, but that is to be expected anywhere in the world, and more likely to come from a fellow customer.
Most budtenders are very friendly and helpful.

My girlfriend came with me to every shop I went to and there was never any problems with it.

Cool. My wife doesnt smoke as much as me and the last thing I need is for some skeevy guys to be grilling her while she is as high as the sky.

like most (all on here) are the opposite, we find them very helpful and knowlegable!!!

honestly, thats a terrible rumour you've heard.

any human who is being obnoxious or rude may get a glare, but there is zero 'men only' culture to coffeeshops.

Never heard that one. My wife was reluctant about visiting coffeeshops, but ended up liking the atmosphere of most all of them.

in some of the Arab/Morrocan places you dont see many women. Not to say they arnt welcome tho...

The guy who posted it on the smokers guide forums said the owners were Asian and that they kept talking to each other and staring at his girlfriend. I don't remember what cs it was only that it was one of the lowest rated ones. I tried to check again yesterday and the site is down. I didn't want to mention race because I wanted to see if this was broader ranging than a cultural bias. If all the cs you guys recommend are as cool as they sound then I won't sweat it. Thanks!

you mean you can get you're eyes to focus that well?....plenty of women smoke in c/s.....i can tell this as the noises from the blurry things sound different to the bigger blurry things
