anyone ever worry bout carrying a high end dslr around? i dont think i'd worry bout getting jacked, and would probably keep it in my bag alot. but i've got a pretty big camera canon 1d and a 24-70. problem is i lapsed on my deductable, and its uninsured at the moment. i cant travel without it, id be dying to use it the whole time. 50% of this trip is gonna be pretty photos. is this safe? im pretty good at minding my surroundings, chicago's got its rough spots.

You are more likely to leave it somewhere than to have it stolen. Not that it can't happen, but I just don't think it is that common as long as you pay attention to your surroundings.

thats what i figured. thanks. ive carried it into way sketchier places than holland before. hahaha

im not worried about losing it anywhere. its an extension of me. and i got the girl as a second set of eyes for it. it'll probably ride around in my backpack alot.

and its 12lbs or so. i'd notice if i werent carrying it.
