Quasar haze - barneys (superb new haze)

I can't say whether it's worth €16-17/g or not, as I don't think any weed is, but ignoring the price for a minute, I did make an effort to check out the Quaze/Quasar/Pure Equatorial Sativa this week. I took a little look at it in a few different places, and saw a bit of variation in quality on offer. The biggest joke was in Grey Area (just mentioned on other thread). It was the first bit I saw, and I honestly thought if this is what all the fuss is about then wtf. Was clearly just from a main growing stem, with some tiny bud growth at each node.

The best bits of this weed were, imo, very good though. 4-6inch long, really thin & fragile stems, with clusters of delicate, frosty, stinky sativa calyxes sitting on even thinner stems. A lovely smell, but hard to put my finger on, like a cross between citrus & pine (and parsnips!), and a taste to match. Very strong effects, super dreamy, super trippy. Quite possibly the strongest sativa I've ever smoked, this really did spank me - quite often when I try pure Sats I don't feel the strength of them, not in this instance!

I did make a point of waiting until the morning before I tried this, too - I'm pretty sure if I'd had it in the evening, after a few heavy hitting indicas, I wouldn't have appreciated the effects nearly as much. This was the only weed I bought home. I don't know how much that tells you..

I had Quaze the other day from Bluebird - €12,50 for .8g. I smoked it after the cheese, but while it picked me up, I did not fly as I was expecting, but the power of the taste as you exhaled showed that there is some power in this haze. In fact, the fact that I was pretty high after 2 spliffs of So Gouda does imply it is pretty strong. Bluebird have it listed in it's own category as very high. I think it is unbelievably high, but I think it's such a clear high, that you don't even realise you are high, if you know what I mean. I think this stuff is really strong, but it is a haze, there is no indication of being stoned at all, this is a pure clean high, it is really good. Me thinks me likes it

In Janaury the Utopia was tops for me (is a couple months after the cup, and i heard of the seeds in bag story, from SoulRider i think)

Sorry thats not very clear, I was very high on the Quaze...

I felt the Quaze pick me up even though I had 2 spliffs of So Gouda before it. The Quaze is a very clear high, that smoked with other weeds may make you feel like it has no effect, but your mind has become clear, so that must signify something!! All I am saying, Quaze is a fantastic weed with a crystal clear high that you just may not notice because it is so clear. The So Gouda was very nice as well

i put down a gram of that quaze in about 2 hours my last night in town. i was MESSED the fuck up. bad idea to smoke it before packing.
