Yesterday we went for a day, just to show the city to a couple of friends and my parents who have never been there.
Visited Maddame tussau first, was cool, but could have been a bit bigger for the price you pay.
We only visited two coffeeshops, so the smoke-report will be less big than usually

Mellow Yellow
This is the first time I have to say something bad about this shop, really. We went in and bought most of the menu, spend over 200€ in total and then the dealer still gave us such a bad attitude. Have never seen this guy there before, a normal-tall skinny guy with a cap. Asked him to give us some extra bags because we always put the weed in a Vla to get them back safe. I always ask for extra baggs in MY, because its our last shop in amsterdam most of the time and never had a problem with that, but this time this guy gave me two bags (lol? two bags for about 15 bags of weed? nice!) and told me to go away because I was taking too long. I mean, wtf, there is a menu and this menu is so big because you want to give customers the choice, and just because we took something of every single item on the weed menu he was pissed. At least 10minutes later the guy went away and another guy, friendly as all other dealers I have dealt with in MY, took over. Seems like it depends really hard on the individual dealer......fucking asshole , if this wasnt my beloved shop I would have told him "fuck off, give me my money back", lucky guy...
Smoked their Vaporizer, very nice I love the taste you get through this thing...amazing!
Super Silver Haze 10€/g - Some of the best bud in town as always, amazing fruity taste/smell and an up-high that takes you to the next level, it keeps giving and giving and giving...
Cheeze 11€/g - Very nice taste, cant describe it 100%, something between sweet and hearty. the batch we got definitely feels like a haze and like the silver haze it keeps giving.
Blueberry 7,5€/g - this batch definitely isnt of the best we got from MY, still a good hitter, but it wasnt cured too well, scratches your throat, but except that its a top notch bud.
Nevilles Haze 12€/g - new item on the menu, the taste is very very hazy, you can see this is one of the original haze-crosses, the high is very strong, havent smoked such a strong haze in a long time.
S5 Haze - A true haze, smells fruity like the SSH, but has the effect of the Nevilles, good up-high that keeps on
7 1/2 Inch 14€/g - very very oily, still not as soft as the dark hashes from Afghanistan/Nepal, still a maroc, but very sweet in taste and really strong in effect, worth the price.
Bubblegum Haze 10€/g - Sweet Sativa, nice bud, not the strongest, but still a nice smoke.
Diesel 12€/g - smells like a true NYC should, the effect is a strong head-high, but the taste isnt as good as the NYC we sample down here at the border at coffeeshop Relax, in general I have the feeling that the NYC in Amsterdam has lost its taste.....
Mellow Master 8€/g - after smoking a decent joint of this back home I have to say this is more than just average shit. The taste is very strong, sweet like honey and the high is as strong as you would expect from a Haze-strain, best in its price-category of hashes in amsterdam so far for me, very ncie morrocan hash


Dampkring
Very friendly dealer, kept his friendlines even after we changed our order 3-4 times (sorry for that if you are reading here mr dealer ).
The bongs were clear and we even got some seating
Super Silver Haze 10,5€/g - more Indica than the one from MY, but the taste isnt as good
Lavender 8,5€ - the taste...I mean, everyone who has ever tried it will say the taste is fabolous. smoked it in a vaporizer in MY, but even in a joint the taste is really amazing, so sweet and fruity.
White Russian 7,5€/g - After reading so many good reviews about this strain it was the time to try it. And I have to say its not my type of weed, its a definite old-school weed, reminds me of the weed we used to smoke years back, nothing special, but not bad, just not my type. Smooth in the throat and a good hybrid-high
King Hassan - Nothing special, good hash with the usual hash-taste.

Top 3:
Overall Winner: Lavender for the great taste, price and a nice up-high
Strongest: S5 or Nevilles Haze from MY, some of the strongest Sativa I have ever smoked
Taste: although I like the Lavender-taste more, the Cheeze from MY has a stronger taste, not like other weeds where you "think" you are tasting something, this taste hits you right in the face

Did you not try the Jack Herer Haze? Shame about the Budtender in M.Y. I always seem to be served by the usuall super friendly guy

Baffles me how some miserable arseholes get customer service jobs, even if your pissed off with your job or something personal, what reason is that to have a complete lack of common manners. You get some really nice people in the dam, but it also seems to have more than it's fair share of stroppy pricks too.

With some people, you get the feeling that they think you should be kissing their feet, all because they are deining to let you spend cash in their business.

You've got stronger willpower than me, to go to the dam for just 1 day. I probably wouldnt be able to drag myself away.

I had a moody dealer in MY and got a bit moody coz the tubs were nearly empty and i did not want what he was showing me. I returned on the evening to full tubs and a happy dealer.

how come they didnt like amsterdam... was it because you were there for 1 day?? i would imagine it would be hard to fully take in and apreciate amsterdam in less than 1 day.

do they toke as much as you?? like did they enjoy the coffeeshop aspect of the trip?? the hash? the weed?? did you goto any good restaurants? what about madame tousods , that place can be pretty cool when ripped off your arse. how was the weather??

haha no, the problem is they dont smoke weed, thats a big reason for them not to like Amsterdam, because my mother doesnt like the smell of it....by "they didnt enjoy amsterdam" I meant, they dont have as much fun as we do, they like the city, they liked madame tussauds and the coffeeshops itself, but by the fact they dont smoke they said they wouldnt return as there isnt much to see (of course my father was totaly excited about the RLD )

ok, so here we go, the last smoke-report and an update on the Master Mellow:

definitely....the scenario you are describing maybe happens once in a year
the stuff on the bottom of the tub is the best, trust me, there are no branches and the skuff is much more as well

I have to back up sh@dy on taking from the bottom, I was in MY last year and wanted the blueberry I looked in the tub and the dealer was like this is all there is left, there was a small bud about 5g so I asked for 2 and it was the most crystal covered bud I've had.

another story about tub-bottoms:
went into Grey Area last year and had already been told 2 times before that their Chocolope was sold out (was the time when their Chocolope was superb and well priced), only the leaves and very very small buds were left. the Chocolope was around 13€ and I told him I would take whatever is left, and he then even gave it to me for 10€.....was some of the sweetest bud I smoked....thats why the bottom of the tub rocks
