Tipping question (I've searched already)
I've already searched but haven't found clear examples. When do you tip? How much and who? I live in NYC and I have servers/waiters in my family, so I usually tip well if I'm happy. Can you guys list some examples such as coffeeshops, restaurants, hotel maids, and bars. Is it true you tip bouncers at clubs? What about the RLD? Thanks.

Collins seems to have a lot of great pointers. I've read every word.

If i am buying a coffee i just round up! ie 1.40 & let them keep the 10 cents change,But if i am eating out i allways leave a decent tip of like 5 euros or so! it all depends on what the bill is

Yeah it's not the same as in the States where tips are expected. I always tip the cabbie especially if he helps with the bags at the airport. However last week I was out with a business collegue and he tried to tip 20GBP on his credit card for a 170GBP dinner bill and they had no idea how to add this to the total!
