After a dry spell, and a long period of brickweed black lung crap that your lungs cannot endure enough of to get a buzz, I had honestly thought of quitting for awhile.
Suddenly, what lands on my lap last wk? 1/4oz Nevilles, which was AMAZING.
Another amazing happening is that before I ran out of Nevilles (waves documents above head triumphantly) Is that my guy sets me up with an oz of Chiesel. Now Ive had NYCD and Sour D, but Ive not had a cheese of any kind, given that: A) I am a Sativa man. B) More than that...I buy more hash than weed if I possibly can.
Now Ive subjected Chiesel to my 4 stage evaluation, being Ballon vape, standard vape, steamroller, and finally a joint (no I don't roll cones. They became fashionable after My friends and I were too old to keep track of latest news and techniques.) I plan to add a small bong to replace the steamroller in the near future.
Balloon vape....wow, very hashy inhale with a very slow expand... more earthiness and fuel enters the flavor and the exhale brings the cheese right to the front of the flavor. With that much depth....the hope was very very high.
Within about 1.5 balloons inhaled, I was very very high. I still had 2.5 left to huff, and was glad to face the challenge. I definitely got the floating head effect with warm face and scalp, all tension evaporates with the exhaled vapor. I wasnt locked, but I could have been had I chose to. It allows you to be up and creative...doing things, or lay back and smoke more and more, watching the discovery channel.
Next I went with the steamroller. Only the earthy/crude oil inhale and cheese exhale were the identifiable flavor. The hashy flavor didn't show up so much. The first huge hit seemed as if it took place in a dream. It had that audio sense of being underwater, then the visual fireflies, with amazing, throbbin' head rush at exhale, whoa!
That makes me want to ask all a question about any weed or hash you've smoked. In this case I think the amazing rush was a combo of great weed mixed with taking the hit just right. Sometimes it seems like you just get a better hit than others, and those truly thump ya in the head. Does anyone else get this?
Anyway, the steamroller high caused the indica aspect of it to assert itself stronger than it had vaping it. It definitely turned me into a bobblehead, but this time there was way less inclination to get up and do anything. If I could have paid someone to piss for me, I would have....It was couchlock in a fairly strong sense.
Next was with my portable, direct inhale vape. I always pre-warm this vape for about 10 mins, then load it. It is so manageable and self contained, that I can smoke it 2 ft from my mother and wife, and neither knew it wasnt tobacco (Im also using my portable vape to stop cigarettes)
Enough about the vape. I took in the first, fuel-oily/sweet earth with spice hit which did a throat drip like hash, and again the hash flavor is evident in this weed when vaped. Direct inhale vaporizers give you a very concentrated vapor, and the taste is heaven. The same fingers of warmth spidering up the sides of my head, warm scalp, Underwater hearing, etc.
There isn't a bad way to inhale this weed, each has a different quality of high, taste and experience.
That brings us to the joint. Again, and ordinary joint, consumed wholly by me in the early afternoon. One thing I should have noted earlier, but will now...even though you get some immediate, intense rushes hitting this weed, the overall big high creeps up. I could have smoked half that joint and been just fine, but I didn't, I kept smoking, it was much more of the oily dirt taste as it burnt, but the first 3 or so hits had the kerosene herb taste. I then spent about half an hour studying an oil pastel I am working on, getting lost in the detail as if I were still looking out at the Courtyard from my window in Paris. My head began to weave, so I sat my canvas on a side table.
Then I woke up 2 hrs later and wrote the joint part of this strain review.
I am amazed at the sudden quality increase in the states..in my area at least. The other big difference is all of the nugs come with the strain name, not just the old school "kind buds" or "dank" as the only description of what the weed is. This is encouraging. Now we just need President Obama to remove the ban on cannabis and make some serious tax revenue.
Chiesel on a 1-10.........7
I never thought about this when in the Dam, but if I am not mistaken, Rohrer 714 Quaaludes are still manufactured in Europe, are they not? Has anyone ever encountered it or heard about it. Im not a big Lude lover, but a friend mentioned ludes last night, so I thought Id ask.

i love my portable vape, too.....there is so much great weed in the US right now its crazy...all the govt needs to do is legalize it, tax it and the deficit is gone...you get lots of hash in middle america, wow?!?...
as a real 714 lover from the past, i can tell you there is no way they are still being manufactured anywhere....since everything is available on the black market, they could easily sell for $50/pill in the US if they were around.....if only!!

Hash availability comes in feast or famine fashion. There will be months of availability, followed by anywhere from 2-4 months very spotty to dry, with periods of opium. One wouldn't think that it would exist much at all in the midwest, but I am in a nest of university towns, which also brings festivals and more than your one or 2 local guys bringing in supply, and I have speculative ideas that there are a handful of grower/suppliers centrally, but thats probably true anywhere. This yr had one of the longest dry spells we've had in awhile, luckily I got to spend 5 days in the Dam during the drought.
I agree on the legalization for economic purposes. It is ridiculous for alcohol (IMO one of the most unpredictable and dangerous drugs to come along) to remain freely available and heavily taxed, while weed, which has undeniable therapeutic value is regarded in the same category with meth. Shows how far our high and mighty selves have come with critical thought.
I had thought 714s had only been made schedule I in the US. The last one I took was in 1985. My best friend always called them a 12 pack in a pill. I didn't hate them, but I was never conscious long enough to enjoy it the way I'd like. It is hilarious thinking back that it was used commonly for insomnia among other conditions prior to its ban. Funny, while I was looking at wiki about this, I found out it is schedule III in Canada, which tells me there are some chill Canadians.
The very last joint stone I has was shaped and marked as a Rohrer 714, I traded it for a 1/4 oz, which I now regret, but hey who knew?
I know I am going off the path with this, but I really do think we may be the closest to legalization we may have been, due to a crumbling economy. Sooner or later everything will get thrown at the wall. Ive been telling my family that I bet we will see more law changes in the next 10 years than we may have seen since WWII, just out of economic necessity.
Its hard to be high and mighty when you're picking pennies off the sidewalk. Let us not become so enamoured with ourselves for finally electing other than an old white man to lead, that we think we have solved all of our problems with the mere act of a vote. It's now time to take larger steps in national maturity. I would imagine it is annoying as hell to a lot of the world that one of the youngest nations existing is both at once the most powerful and the most hypocritical nation. In many ways we need to re-earn that Statue in New York Harbor.
Now I do love my country of course, and in that same vein I also point out when I think my kids are going astray, and there is no doubt I love them. So when I am critical of my country, it is out of desire to be what we say we are.
I am off the soapbox now....I probably should smoke more, maybe I wouldn't get so wound up.
