It all sounds like politcal bull shit to appease the conservative right. Let them see you do a little goose stepping every once in a while and every bodies happy. I'm sure the cops know is all a game, they're just there doing their job. Sounds like they make it as pleasant as possible. Small price to pay.
I was in on the 27th and they were talking about it. Just a normal routine as Milehigh said, although adoney (really don't know how to spell his name) said the place was closed while they did the check.
Anyway, as Milehigh said, it happens at least once a year, it's a keep them on their toes thing.

yep it was closed in the sense that nobody was allowed in while the 'check' was taking place.
i wish i wasn't so absorbed in the hash i was smoking form there whist reading a book and i didn't notice anything until it was too late,wish i did as i would of left a bit sooner
still me fave coffee shop though and it will be my first port of call when go tot he dam again...
