thanks dude, yeah the kush was mmmpengaldinho wrote:nice reoprting mate. mmmmmmmmmm purple kush...... what camera did you use for the close ups?
I just used mine and my girlfriends camera phones, mines a sony ericsson k810i i think n hers is a spangly new one, they both good cameras tho and I just practised hard before we went using the macro focus setting. I actually wasnt that pleased with some of them, I still struggle as I dont have a tripod so its hard to keep it really still.

K, Ive had time to reflect, so...
Coffeeshops (for spending time in)
1. 420 - Great vibe, great music, super friendly chilled staff, no probs smoking with tobacco, chess, draughts and other games you can borrow from the bud bar to pass some time, standardly priced drinks and some good bud. Still too hit and miss really, some of the gear was just poor but still, weed aside, there arent any other shops Id spend more time in.
2. Hill st. blues on the market - My favourite outdoor sitting spot in amsterdam, great seating area in the back of the shop up the stairs, great staff and brilliant drinks, the fresh milkshakes are to die for and at 3 euros are reasonable considering the size. Food available too at good prices, just a shame about the bud, its hit and miss again but when you have the green place up the road its no biggie.
3. Rokerij (singel) - A new shop for me and a very very chilled place to get mashed. Beanbags on the floor, nice and dark, a different vibe completly to the other two ive picked and thats why its here, its individual and stands out from the crowd, its something very different and well worth spending an hour in. Cool budtender, very friendly and the laughing buddha was excellent.
Coffeeshops (weed)
1. The Greenplace - Hands down this is my favourite place to buy weed in dam now, Ive simply never had a bad smoke from there yet and have stopped checking before I buy such is my confidence in the place. yes its a euro more expensive here and there than other shops, but the bud is that much better than other shops its worth it.
2. Dampkring (original) - For quality haze theres no better place imo. Didnt check out their other smokes as I knew what i wanted but from what Ive heard its always a great place to buy. Also a very nice place to stay and have a drink but as its usually v.busy it didnt make my chilling list. As it happens on the day we visited it was quite quiet and if it was like that all the time, itd probably be number one or two on my faves list.
3. Dampkring 2 - This makes the list just on value alone. Im not saying this place has quality goods all the time like the above, in fact ive found it to be hit and miss, sometimes very good gear, sometimes very poor, but the great thing is that the prices are very good. With the value buds starting at 6e and being very nice at the right time, its well worth popping in to stock up on filler weed. If you can get a seat up on the second floor its nice to sit in too, but if it wasnt for the value buds it wouldnt make either list.
Also I didnt buy enough from some shops so dont see this list as anything like comprehensive, just going on the facts ive got.
Best smokes
1. Mexican Haze - Dampkring / LA Confidential - Greenplace
I couldnt decide so I decided they both won. I almost skipped the LA as its already well documented how good it is, but this batch from TGP was so well done it had to have a mention. The formation of it was textbook, perfectly cured and so stupidly crystalized you could stick it to your finger.
The mexican was tremendous and I nearly didnt buy it. I looked at the G13 and this and the budtender said this doesnt look good but its such a good batch, I agreed and at first thought it didnt look too clever, but the smell was so nice and individual I took some anyway. It wasnt big and buddy but small and crumbly, I cant even imagine what the bigger buds had looked like. The trichomes were like brown sugar and it just melted in the grinder to resiny goodness. Top high as well, active but with a messed up head effect, flashy eyes and spacey.
2. Bas Special - Basjoe -
Complete surprise, wasnt planning on buying it and just went on the smell and look of it. Beautiful resinous buds, Im so pissed I didnt get any pics! Excellent clean smooth hits, with spicy aromatic flavours, it tasted like real ale, almost hoppy! A smiley happy buzz with heavy eyes, i know nothing about this strain at all but imagine its a nice 50/50, if anyone can find any info thatd be wicked.
3. Chocolope - The Greenplace -
Just on tatse alone this has to be in. If it was stronger Id have it in the top two, but it was just lacking in that department. A sweet and smooth taste, so sugary and fruity and just so moreish, a must try.
It seems a shame to just pick three, and my personal favourite is the diesel from the greenplace, i just cant get enough of it and love the effects, but wanted to pick three that impressed the whole group and that i thought were would be appreciated at large. To be fair, I loved everything except the laughing buddha which just wasnt my thing, and the bubblegum from Hill street which was poor, oh also the diesel from 420 wasnt great either, but on the whole all the gear was very nice indeed.
Cant wait for june now!

How is the Rokerij (Singel) like for smoking baccy in spliffs? last year was okay if discreet but they did say it was changing in the new year.
Any info would be great

Amsterdam dreaming.............
errrm, im really not sure, they all seemed to burn the same speed to me, all the same dryness.
To post pics you just upload them to a site like photobucket and then link them in the post your making, if you mean how did i get close ups and you missed my earlier reply, use the macro setting on your camera.
