One of my favorites. I went to Basjoes on my 2nd to last day, i liked the atmosphere and the music, and Brom (I know that's not how you spell his name) was amazing, so much so that i proceeded to spend all of my last day just sat in his coffee shop, partially due to the weather. It was the day before the skate on the canals in Feb so there was the huge snow storm. But mostly due to the company and great Sour Diesel. I was also lucky enough to get a gram of the infamous Terminator

Everyone should go to Basjoes, it's a little off the beaten track, but definitely worth it.

5/5

Why can't we all just get along?

I was twice in this coffeeshop in 8 years and I have there never to find weeds which I have to adore.

The place is nice but you must buy weeds by 2g minimum what I do not like.

Don't I have can be not to taste their best weeds?

If it is the case, I will go back there if not I do not see interest to go back there.
ps: Excuse me for my English. I use Systran translation to speak with to you.

We tried Basjoes out of curiosity to see how much it had changed, on the inside it looks virtually identical to the James-era shop although it certainly does not have the same vibe anymore which is a shame. On the other hand I tried the AK-47 @ €8 p/g and really enjoyed it and found it to be quite potent, I was served by a friendly young 'Goth' girl. Still a worthy place to stop-by if you're in the area

I was also served by the goth girl. She was very friendly and happy to chat. I tried the amnesia which was rather good. Especially for the price in the centrum. Think it wss 10 a g. Well, 20 for 2g but they were happy to do me a gram.

I much preferred this visit as under the previous owner i got lots of bad attitude. However there were only 2 people in there compared to the place being rammed full last time. They were obviously doing something right

This shop still has a lot going for it IMO, it's simply gone through a change of management which I'm sure many/most coffeeshops have in the past

Another shop just next door is hardly ideal also! KD.

Thats actually what I like about the shop itself. I really enjoyed sitting out the front in the sun, escaping from the madness that's just around the corner. Never sat inside myself but it does look pretty comfortable. I definitely agree that the shop has a lot going for it. I should add that it was an afternoon visit the second time compared to around 9pm the first which partly explains the difference in how busy it was. I'll be back if I get the chance

You DON'T "Have" to buy in 2 gram quantities here ... they will quite happily sell you a gram ...the G-13 and M.Kush were decent enough ...but the hash joint a mere shadow of the James/Leo Era (at the same Price) ... Speaking of those two , Have any of you been there when the two young fellows ( who appear to be ethnically similar to James and Leo ) are working the same shift ? . Uncanny . Give the place a chance . Similar vibe ,crowd ...still kind of a date shop . an older demographic at times . Folks speaking many languages...and having a good time in a common space.

The "goth" chick seems to have a penchant for Reggae remakes - Heard dub side a da moon here for the first (and second) time whilst she was working ...Kinda liked it . But she moved on to a Reggae remake of Sgt. Pepper . I think I groaned so loud , she faded it out for something else . A little Help from my Friends doesn't work ,for me, as a reggae song ( I think it could be done - but this version was crap )...We saw a sign at CS Goa that says "Visit our new shop Basjoe " or something to that effect ... anyway -it's not the same , but its still OK .

haha yes when we were there I listened to a reggae re-make of the Sgt.Pepper LP too. It didn't think it was too bad actually :D
But then again I know James would have put on some real roots reggae which I love and gave Basjoes part of it's atmosphere

Anyone know offhand when this place typically opens in the morning?

that is not true about the 2 grams, sure the prices on the menu are in 2 grams but if you ask for a gram there is no problem, now i have only been in the palce once since James sold it, and that one time i purchased several single grams of the smoke (wasnt the best )
