I'm a newbie to the site and am going on my first trip to the dam on 22nd. I'm going solo and would like to know the best places to go, also would be happy to hear from any other tokers going around the same time

You should enjoy it mate! as i can remember my 1st time.I was totaly blown away by it all & that was 9 years ago now .

At the risk of sounding like a complete anorak
can I suggest that you study (if ya haven't already) the ACD map, then go through the list of c/s and read the reviews, good & bad and see what places ya like the look of.
Print out a copy of the map and note where the "clusters" are, so ya can have several crawls and see loads of great places.
On the whole we have always found more good ones than bad but it depends on what sort of atmos ya like.
We are going again for the 5th time in May and have already done 3/4 of the ones on the map
My first time I was like a kid in a sweet shop, I think I had a daft grin on my face from the moment we left home, til the moment we got home.
