Great report! Thanks for taking the time!

I have always liked the Cornerhouse, stayed there a load of times and it is great value and comfortable enough. Definately not one for those who like their hotels luxurious, but the rooms on the top floor are really big for the price; I love room 20 as it overlooks Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and there is always plenty going on outside which you can sit and stare at when smoking out of the window!

I shared some of the same concerns as you regarding smoking after a long break from it and wondering if I would even feel comfortable with the whole coffeshop experience. But reading this forum has given me a fairly good idea of what to expect thanks to all the great information shared here. I really like reading the trip reports and thus far this is my favorite. Thanks again for sharing.
Thanks for your kind feedback mate

I confess that it did take a few days for me to start feeling comfortable getting stoned again, but I really am glad that I have (albeit with regular periods of abstinence).

Things have definately changed over the last 20 years, and both the quality and variety of the weed has really come on since then.

Hi Matt
Glad you liked the report.

I will be back at the Cornerhouse next month.
I've booked a single room this time (due to the worsening exchange rate)
I dont suppose room 20 is one of their single rooms?

No 20 is a big twin/double on the top floor. I think the single room are on the lower floors there.

Awesome report!!

I love the fact that you're missing three hours because that has happened to me too! As you say a bit scary but then you just have to laugh at it!!

Cheers for the great read!
It's been a long, long, long time.
