I recently (February) went to Maastricht and Eindhoven in search of the elusive Cheese and any derivative (Blue Cheese, Chiesel, etc..).
Out of 17 shops, I found one that had it, the Cool Running in Maastricht. At E14 per gram, I was somewhat stunned. I was in Amsterdam for New Years and noticed the average price for top shelf gear was in the E14/15 range. I wasn't all that surprised given Amsterdam is the weed (tourist) capital of the world, but Maastricht, and Cheese? Even some strains of Amnesia Haze are E14/15. Crazy.
Anyho, I am still willing to shell out a few E's for some decent Cheese. So, if anyone knows of any shops along the eastern/southeastern edge of Noord Brabant or Limburg, I would appreciate the info.

I'm confused, can someone define cheese, ive been reading it alot on here but all i can deduce is that its a certain flavor?

I had Barneys (Yes i Know) Blue Cheese last year which was excellent at the time. Not very good when i looked last trip so did not buy.The Greenplace had a Blue Cheese which was good last trip
TBH i am yet to find a nice tasting cheese in the dam although HGF are supposed to have a nice1.

Cheese is a strain that is advertised to be from the UK. It was supposedly an underground type in the 80's/90's, only available to select few, or so it is written. As an American having lived in Germany since 1995, it wasn't until last year that I had first heard of Cheese, or as in my case, Big Buddha Cheese.
This gear is strong, very potent. The gear looks pretty much like what you would expect, light/medium green with red hairs, covered with glistening trichomes(sp?). The smell is unmistakable, dank almost moldy with a hint of citrus. The buzz is almost immediate, within 15-20 seconds of a full lung hit.
You should experience this gear for yourself.

Cheese was grown from a pack of Sensi Seeds Skunk 1 by a guy called Mark in the Cotswolds in 1988, he planted them in the border of his back garden and he thought they would be all the same so he only cloned one of them. It was only after he gave the cut to a friend to grow indoors that they realised there was anything out of the ordinary about it, because it stank up his mate's place with that all-pervading stink it has. It got the name Cheese cos they used to use codewords when discussing weed on the phone, apparently. It was passed onto the Exodus Collective a few years later and they spread it far and wide

This is uspposed to be the 'official' story re: cheese, a lot of people say Big Buddhas Cheese is like a watered down version but I think it's a nice smoke and is pretty much the only cheese you'll get in Holland, Homegrown Fantasy had a cutting for a while but I dont know what they did to get the seeds they now sell.

I think I've only had BB's, and I like it quite a bit. I think I like the Blue Cheese better though, still deciding

Picasso had a nice batch of Big Buddah Cheese when i was there back in Feb,

At the moment at home ive got some Cheeno (Cheese/White Rhino cross) and its just everything you would want from some bud from how it looks to how it tastes... heavenly!!! Hope to see it on the menu's in Amsterdam soon

Thanks to all who have posted. It's always nice to know there are people willing to share info. Still though...I would like to know if there is any strain of Cheese in the market place as of now? I will amend my original post and extend it to anywhere in the Netherlands.
I don't doubt that a few shops in Amsterdam are carrying, but 6 hours by car/train, not very practical for a small quantity. Anywhere within an hour of the border with Germany is about the farthest I am willing to travel.
I should just plant the seed. Save a bundle of money, not to mention the hassle of having to score 40-50 grams a month.

Mellow Yellow had the best cheeze we tried so far. very intensive taste/smell, strong high, worth the 11€

i got some cheese in central coffee shop. was the nicest weed i had all weekend

my fav has been by far the cheese i got from homegrown that shit was wild and im not particular with cheese strains except for that and the first bathc of chiesle i had was sick

I have tried many cheese strains in Amsterdam, including the original from HGF but I really really like the Blueberry Cheese from Green Place. To me, it has such an awesome flavor. I also smoke the Cheese from MY. Good stuff man!
