Mixing pot and painkillers

I know it's a bad idea to mix pot and the heavy opiates like Percocet, but does anyone know if there's any danger mixing the heavy-duty anti-inflamtories (called NSAIDS, like Anaprox, Naproxyn, etc) and pot?

Thanks

My understanding is that weed helps the stomach problems associated with taking NSAIDS, one of the early reasons it was taken as medicine by cancer pts.
I'm not a Dr., nor do I play one on Television.

yah i take nsaids and tylenols regularly. they dont interact as far as i know. i take the pills, the ache goes away, the buzz stays the same.

now weed with an opiate is a different story. that'll send your head spinning and couchlock you like a ton of bricks. but i only ever try something like that a few times a year tops, no interest in a PK addiction

this is mike d's wife missy...i do physical therapy for a living specializing in post operative orthopedics. i see patients the first day after surgery so most are on nsaids...anaprox is just a brand name with which naproxen is the active ingredient so it's pretty much the same thing. it is a prescription dosage but just so you know what you're taking, it's the same exact drug as aleve...pretty tame. no problem smoking on it...i know from experience after my own surgery.

have fun!!!

Thanks everyone -- that's what I thought. And Missy, I really appreciate the expert viewpoint. I'll stay away from the opiates (you'd admire my self-control, I have two untouched bottles of Tylenol 3 and Percocet each, from after a deadly episode of back pain two years ago) and treat the inflammation with Anaprox and Cheese.

About 10 years ago I was on Tylex (Paracetamol 500mg codiene 30mg) for torn ligaments and I can tell you when I smoked on them it a lot less to get me stoned, musta been the codiene.

I really used to enjoy smoking with codeine! Not recommending it, just saying
