I always visit Hill Street Blues when i'm in the dam..
We usually spend time in there just as we're getting
ready to go for the train.I really like it a lot for some
strange reason.

Yea! ive also had that with them :?,& check your change closely as well cos they sometimes make mistakes & then rush off,But that aside its a decent place like! i go there like everyday when i am in amsterdam,I normally start my day there with some coffee & i always buy there 4 gram deals of polm for 20 euros! a bargain in amsterdam these days.

I've been to HSB a couple of times, always avoided it in the past for some reason, but last year I gave it a try and purchased some zero zero 2.6g for 10 euros, and a nice smoke, so this time I thought i'd stop in and see what is on the menu, and saw some Afghan 3g for 10 euros, so I thought I'd give it a try, and what a bargain!! Make sure you grab 6g of this stuff as it's a real nice smoke, a real heart racing upper, not bad for around £12 1/8...

There weed called "hill street special" was very nice,10 euro`s per gram & it was a very enjoyable smoke indeed 8),I tend to get my polm from HSB! as a mere 20 euros for a 4 gram deal of strong/clean hash is a bargain in my opinion 8).

I stumbled in here because the name vaguely rang a bell with me.

Once inside i loved the look of the place, the subdued lighting, the cosy quiet seeting at the front with the window on warmoesraat, but most of all the comfy sofa's at the back or the seats downstairs in the all wooden room which reminded me of a ships cabin - both rooms complete with big double windows looking out over a canal onto damrak - very nice, especially at night when it's all lit up.

The drinks are cheaper than most places which is a bonus because some coffeeshops put me off with rip off prices on drinks and food, i dont like being taken advantage of.

The music was good and varied, never too over the top. The menu is pretty varied and they have a good hash selection - i gave my best bargain buy of the trip to this shop - afghani hash 4E a g or 10e for 3g. Their pollem was also pretty tasty stuff. It's a very relaxed place & i liked to stop in a few times a day.

Overall Hill Street Blues is my new favourite coffeeshop

Well worth stopping in

I've always enjoyed HSB. Staff are friendly especially the brunette girl behind the bar. There's always an interesting mix of music and everyone in there seems pretty chilled, the weed is ok better than some places and worse than others although i do love their Sage Haze...a real tasty smoke.
The pool table is a nice feature too. I'm always a regular at HSB whenever im in the 'dam.

Stopped in HSB all 5 days of my stay, though I didn't actually buy any smoke. Love the graf decor, reminds me of early 90's NYC. They also really do make some damn good hot chocolate. When not ordering weed in shops I usually got either a Looza or hot cocoa and HSB's was easily the best.

Loved this shop.

I guess this place is hit or miss. Was there Sat mid-day and sat downstairs by the window. Tried to chat with some Glaswegians who were pretty roasted, but dude had the music up way too loud. We asked if he could turn it down a bit and he did for about 5 minutes. After 3 or 4 more attempts to get the volume down so we could have a normal conversation, I had to get outta there. The Weggies left as well.

We visited last Sunday I believe. Liked this shop ,roomy,comfortable...got a 3 Euro fruit shake and a HJ ...nice layout . They were playing Nirvana unplugged ...kinda grungy,CBGBs type decor ,dark. We had a fair stash by that point ,didn't buy other than drinks & HJ . Felt no pressure . Good shop for us. Hope they find a way to keep it open.
