What strain is caramello made of?

As recommended by Sour Rider, must be one of the best hashes I've tried, a small amount only was required for a large bong hit. Not all that expensive either, from 420 anyway.

Does anyone know if it's an indica or sativa strain, and perhaps even which one? Thanks :)

Dont know if theres any connection but Homegrown Fantaseeds do a caramella.
This variety is a stable homogeneous, with big fat tops, long cola's with a lovely fresh caramel smell. This variety has been bred for the last 15 years with lots of success. This Indica/Sativa hybrid is crossed back and selected on taste and a high calyx/leaf ratio. Good yield, uplifting high, easy to grow and a lot of crystals, a beautiful plant.
Next time you're in town try the Caramello from Stix, one of the tastiest marocs I've had.

hi lampshade

caramello is spanish for 'sweet(s)' because of the shape of the hash and the method used for wrapping, when it arrives in spain -looks like bullets ,deer droppings etc and it's usually very yummy hash - bubbles when shown a lighter etc

when i was in spain i would get something called 'chicha' meaning 'the best' it came in the same form as above.

it is also just used to refer to very good quality marrocan - as seen in the dam etc

how did you feel when you smoked the hash, should give you an indication of what strain was used.

personally i have smoked caramello which gets you stoned and the chica i mentioned got me very ,very high.

hope this helps

Sour Rider?????

I've had a name change lol.

Caramella the plant is used as the basis for Barney's Caramella hash. Caramello as far as I am aware doesn't come from the same plant. Exactly where it does come from I am at a loss.

Also, if anyone remembers the old caramello, and knows where to get some, please let me know. I prefered the taste of that one. :)

The different Moroccan hashes get their names from the amount of pressure used in pressing and the quality/time of harvest type of scenario..The very lightly pressed golden resins are called Polms..
Shoes,Soles,Caremello,Eggs are all pressed to higher density and more of the resins heads burst and give the hash a darker color and also can come from more mature resin heads such as opaque, amber and even brown heads..
There are tons of low quality resins that come from morocco every year and tons of high quality resins as well..A lot of shop have microscopes to look at the gear and this is great for checking the quality of your hash..Just tear a very small piece away from your chunk and have a look..If it is really good it will mostly be made up of gland heads with a few stalks(glandular) and nonglandular trichs cush as spurs but this is rarer in high quality pieces..The best pieces will be almost entirely mature trich heads......Have phun!!!

Lmao I hadn't noticed! All my dreams of sour diesel got me mixed up  My apologies Soul Rider :P.

Anyway, the caramello gives a strong couch lock, so I'd presume it's indica. However, blueberry is indica dominant but feels more like a sativa! I'm at a loss too. :?:

Marijuana is a unique plant in that it is balancing on the body, and when you are tired and smoke an indica, it may still perk you up a bit.

The problem really is marijuana reacts to your current body situation and supplies the neccesary form of therapy, according to it's limits and your condition. This is why even the same weed can seem completely different on 2 different days.

Honestly, I have realised something very important, its important to buy the right stuff at the right time, and if you can get it for the right price, so much the better. haha.

No really it is not entirely consistent as you are not.

That's amazing, it's as though it's designed to be smoked.

I had some super caramello (11€/g) from a Coffeeshop in Maastricht some weeks ago... very dark brown colour and the top looks like leather... very shiny... the super caramello is very hard (hard but not sandy) but very oily, too. It bubbles like hell in a milli second. Never had some hard hash what is so strong and had such a nice flavour superb hash...

Bluebird had some nice caramello for 10€/g on their special menu very nice too but a little bit different.

hmmm sativa or indica? not easy I think it is more sativa like because it´s more a great high than a stone effect... but I had some caramello gold from another Maastricht Coffeeshop and it was more a stone effect...

I agree!

Everyone has their own unique preferences, brain chemistry, perpective, and so on. In addition to the above, the setting and circumstances of when and where you get high can also contribute to (or moderate) the effects. So, while one person can get amped after smoking a joint of a sativa-heavy strain, another person might get relaxed, by the same joint.

Furthermore, every batch of even the same strain, can be somewhat different, due to factors, such as when they harvested, how it was cured and so on.

Hence, there can be inconsistent effects, for a particular strain, between individuals and within individuals.
