More:
the term 420 originated at San Rafael High School, in 1971, among a group of about a dozen pot-smoking wiseacres who called themselves the Waldos, who are now pushing 50. The term was shorthand for the time of day the group would meet, at the campus statue of Louis Pasteur, to smoke pot. Intent on developing their own discreet language, they made 420 code for a time to get high, and its use spread among members of an entire generation.
So there ya go, someone's parents out there invented the term 4/20.
And remember this:
There are NOT 420 chemicals in Weed. It's about 315, the num. goes up or down depending on what you're smoking.
4/20 is NOT police code or Maryjane.
And that whole shit about Holland and 4/20 over there being "tea time" for smokers isn't true either.

In India - if you call someone the number 420 (pronounced chaarsobbease) you are calling them a cheater/hustler/thief...

How's that for a little known and horrible fact about 420?

The 4:20 thing is an urban myth.

If it WAS the time after detention, then that would be one helluve long detention. In California, school is out by 2:15 to 3:00 pm, so a 1 hour twenty minute (or longer) detention. Not likely.

By the way, it is no problem to rotate the neck through 180 degrees. Turn your head and look to the left (but do NOT cough... :D, the fellas know what I am talking about) and then turn your head and look to the right, that's a 180 dgree arc. NO problem, unless your upper spine has been fused! 420 degrees, is another matter. Then we are talking Linda Blair. (a reference for the old-timers :D )

turning your head to the right or left is only 90degrees for it to be 180 you would have to turn it all the way to your back 1/2 a turn around your body!!

I think the confusion is in the starting point. I would assume you would start looking forward. You can turn 90 degrees +/- to the left and to the right. That is 180 degrees total motion but only 90 degrees from the starting point.
