My Volcano Experience

Post by bigjohn »

Having ordered the volcano all I had to do was await its arrival. I bought it on ebay and was surprised to get an email from the seller a day later with a tracking number from UPS. I logged onto their site and saw it was still being processed, at the bottom of the page was the time “New York” local time. Oh shit, they are sending me the American 110 volt vape, pretty useless in the UK without a transformer. A quick look through ebay for transformers was followed by an email to the seller, “AAARRGGGHHHH!!! You’re sending me an American vape, that’s no good, it won’t work” :x . She replied saying it was being despatched from Storz & Bickel, Germany. and assured me it was the correct one :) . When the palpitations had settled down I again logged onto UPS site. It had been collected from Frittlingen. Germany sorting depot and was “In Transit”. I followed its progress to Frankfurt, and then onto Barking, Essex, I was getting really excited at this point. When I logged on Thursday morning it was “Out for Delivery” from our local Manchester depot. YEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAAAAA. :D :D :D
Sat watching the clock until nearly 3pm when he arrived.

A call to my local dealer, who must have thought I’d left the country as he hadn’t heard from me for so long, had him *eventually* bringing round a £20 bag of grass, “I’ll be round in an hour” he said, then 4 hours later he turned up. By this time I’m totally au fait with the working of the Vape. Surprised at just how fool proof it really is.
I break up some weed and pop it into the chamber, the volcano is already turned on to No. 7 Clip the bag into place and fire up the fan.
I took my first hit at about 7:05 I thought, that tastes so much better than normal, very mild compared to a joint, surely it can’t be that strong. By 7:15 I had finished off the bag and was feeling rather mellow. At 8:00 I’m still sat in the same position staring at the computer screen, totally unable to work out what fuckin year it is let alone anything else, I was completely mashed. 8) I had not had a smoke in 2 months so this could have had quite a bearing on just how affected I was by the weed, zero tolerance, but I have gone without weed on many occasions before and for even longer periods of time, never have I been hit so fast and with so little weed. I had only put in about half of what I would put into a normal joint and it had hit me as though I’d smoked 5 or 6 times the amount.
I only burned it once and apparently I will get another 2 or 3 bagfulls out of that little bit of weed and even after that, can use the remains for cooking or in a drink.
This piece of kit is truly awesome, until you’ve tried it you don’t realise just how good it is. I was worried it may lack some of the kick that I got from a joint, that feeling when you know your lungs feel full of herb, but far from it, It’s much cleaner and fresher than a joint, the first lungful is as good as the last, no sticky tar around the filter tip. (though, that may just be the way I rolled them  ) It really is all the plus points you get from smoking weed but with none of the negative health issues. Those manufacturers at Storz & Bickel deserve a knighthood.

If you want to buy a Volcano and you know you do, click on this link. Volcano
It will take you to the manufacturers site where you can buy the Volcano for approx £275 This includes a 30 day money back guarantee, if for any reason you don’t like it, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days. Although don’t expect to be returning it, once tried you will not want anything else, as others have said, it’s worth every penny/cent.

Nice write-up bigjohn. I use to smoke bongs only, well maybe a occasional joint, but since I've had my Volcano it's nothing else. I tried a bong about a week after I got my cano and the bong tasted like crap. The Vapo gives you a nice clean taste, like you mentioned. AzLaker 8)

different weed works differently ....try this,

put about 1/3 gram unground uncrushed whole bud, set the temp at 7-8, second bag crush/grind bud and revaporizer it at temp 6, you can still get 1 or 2 more bags at 7-9.

some of the bud in amsterdam produced alot of vapor at temp 5.

besure to keep the volcano clean. use 90% rubbing alcohaul.

good luck and have fun.

smoking is wrong. go vap or don't go at all.

Totally agree with you patrick on cleaning. Small cleaning brush and 90% alcohol to get that screen and other parts cleaned. AzLaker 8)

Seems more like a SERIOUS purchase for SERIOUS smokers only.

Had been advised to at least try a vaporizer on my next trip to Amsterdam but I think I could be biting off more than I could chew.

I smoke cigarettes anyway so the health issue doesn't really come into it.

 The record shows I took the blows and did it MMMMMMYYYYYY WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY

Ah Frank Sinatra, they don't make em like that anymore.

Thanks for the smoking tips Patrick, I will try next time.

I was smoking 3 nights straight and have just about got through half my £20 bag, if I was smoking joints I guess I would have spent approx £40 so far. Amazing how far it goes. No cost for tobacco or papers either. I will stop going on about it now, I'm sounding like an advert.

How often should I be cleaning the chamber & mouthpiece? I have had approx 12 bags so far & it all still looks like new, I have not tried any other weed yet so should I clean it before doing so in order to notice the taste?

I'm glad I tried this before going to Amsterdam, It may have put me straight on my arse if I hadn't known what to expect. I have made my list of all the shops to visit with a vape. Only 11 days to go :)

i have a tendancy to clean the entire filling chamber/plunger and change the bag every 2 or 3 days. i take everything apart for a good cleaning about every 10 days or so. i vap about 1-2 grams a day.

you can soak the screens in alcohaul and it will help clean those up. you will still need to replace the plunger screen about every 6 months or so.

don't lose the tiny nut on the end of the plunger. besure to clean the small blue o ring, that will stick and cause the vapor to leak out.

does yours have a yellow band around the filling chamber?

Thanks Patrick.

Yes, yellow band around the chamber and a blue band inside.

It came with a spare set of screens and a spare nut, I'm sure I will lose that little nut if I remove it when stoned

I intend to get some new bags and fine screens when in Amsterdam. Can I use gunpowder or Grey mist crystals or will they be too fine for the screens?

the crystals will work, i have never tried the gunpowder, i tended to sprinkle some on top of some ground up bud. i must admitt, it did not work as well as i thought.

if you wanna vape just the crystals...i'd reccomend putting a couple extra screens in the bottom of the chamber first. The extra screens will catch any material that starts to melt threw the screens. You DO NOT wanna hash melting into the volcano unit!

cano cleaning

Post by Twitch »

High all. My understanding from instructions I received w/my cano is you're only supposed to use 70 proof rubbing alcohol for cleaning. don't use alcohol on rubber parts, they will stretch. Keep on enjoying the best invention since the wheel.
