Coffeeshops near the cruise ship terminal?

Post by ZBeebs »

I will be in Amsterdam before a cruise on Celebrity's Century. Are there any coffee shops located near the cruise ship terminal within quick walking distance? I hope to eat a bunch of space cake just before sailaway.

Anyone ever brought any onboard a cruise ship in Amsterdam? I have sailed the Caribbean many times and I used to bring plenty with me but not anymore...I got caught with 1/4 oz in Puerto Rico, was fined $500 but worst of all was kicked off the ship. This will be our honeymoon cruise and after getting us kicked off that one time, if it happens again she would KILL me. That said, any ideas? I was thinking that cookies/muffins/brownies would be easy to bring on board, what are the chances of getting caught? With all the eating on a cruise ship, I can't imagine that anyone will notice me eating cake.

I wonder how hard it would be to hide a couple grams of hash in my wallet, pressed real flat, walk right on with it, and then smoke it somewhere hidden or on deck late at night at the back of the ship? The reason I got caught last time was I got lazy and was smoking in our cabin. Someone must have smelled it and complained is my guess.

I've never smoked hash, how much would someone who smokes around two grams of weed a day at home need for a 13 day cruise? I figure you need a lot less hash to get high?

Lot of questions, maybe I should split this post up?

Not many CS right outside the terminal, but you're never too far from a CS anywhere in Amsterdam.

I took a cruise out of AMS last year. I probably could have walked on with a kilo in my pocket and nobody would have noticed. There were metal detectors and x-rays, but I didn't see any dogs, etc. Just to be safe, try boarding early and see how it goes. Once you are on and checked in, then you can get off, go grab some smoke, and hop back on if you feel it's safe.

The Century is a nice ship. I've been on it before, you will enjoy.

Whatever you do, don't get kicked off. She will never forgive you. If you bring something onboard, try eating it instead of smoking and nobody will be the wiser.

I am assuming your port will be IJmuiden.
There is a CS less than 5 minutes from the port, this will be my 1st stop.

I don't think that's where it will be...I think I should be looking for, "The Passenger Terminal Amsterdam is the middle point of a sparkling new center at the head of the Oostelijke Handelskade in Amsterdam."

Where exactly is this?
Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?

Yes you can take it on the cruise. Not legally but just put it in a safe spot coming back on. We went on our first cruise with some stoners and it was our mission to collect weed from each island. we succeeded 5 out of the 6. we hid our dope at first but then we just got lazy and left it out. . Our steward for our cabin just dusted around it. We made sure he got tipped daily even though its not required until the end of the trip.
I need a miracle everyday
