Ashleigh Elson goes out on patrol with Waternet's dredging team.

Rubbish is dredged from Amsterdam's waterways at the rate of 18,000 cubic metres per year, including beds, couches, small boats, stethoscopes, guns and even a dead body.

We have a lot of canals in Arizona for irrigation, many of them originally made by Indians and then updated for continued use.
We find bodies on weekly basis.

Thanks for the link Puffin!

I've heard of plenty of locals fishing in the canals. A bunch of lads that hang out at the Overkant Hortus coffeeshop regularly fish near the shop there. Once I asked an older gentleman what he was fishing for and he said 'eel'.

Lol I think you're right he did look a bit like Jack.

I would think there are a few intrepid types that eat their catch, seeing as the canals are flushed out three times a week.
