If it's as strong as Andy says then it's definitely a wake & bake smoke for me.
Well John from Katsu agreed with me, and if no-one else does, at least he's someone who knows his weed ;)

There is still occasionally, but very rarely a truly powerful brick weed that makes it to this area, and I figure it has to either be Jamaican or old Columbian gold. Hard to tell with brick weed, but more than likely it is Columbian. The Mexican brickweed is crap, its a weak indica, and yeah... StonedSince'67 and I speak the same language it seems. I am a lil younger, but not much, but I am from the no-hybrid landrace weed era. I remember in the mid-late 70s when anything purple was almost worshipped. I remember a weed from Sri Lanka, then Ceylon called elephant, or white elephant, something like that. Of course the wonderful Thaistick from that era was coveted and disappeared from this area from about 75 thru 82, then many exotic imports showed up.

The point of the older days, outdoor weed nostalgia is that during that time, it was next to impossible for an individual in the wrong geo-climactic conditions to grow. Homegrown used to mean one thing only...HEADACHE.
So sometimes, especially after a dry spell, a good quarter pound arriving and being divided was a sacred event. It also meant one bad thing, we were always one big bust away from a very long dry spell, and the inevitable price increase that followed.

Thanks for stoking some memories, StonedSince'67....and heres a question, during the 70s, did you ever encounter Black Bud?

Since Ive drifted off topic, I will agree with Thai, but as I have modernized, I vote for my strain...Grape Jelly, but I am loving the Sour D thats been coming in.

Addendum: I would love to try it Andy. As we have discussed, I have been having a hard time getting truly truly high (my opinion is its my meds). As much as I hated the whiteys i had in my early days, id risk it to see if it would trash me. How many hits get you burnt? Knowing your tolerance gives me a good gauge, and I value your evaluations from personal experience.

Also...I know the epic email will take time, but there is something I need to ask you about if you will have some computer time soon, so I will drop another, much shorter email.

my favorite morning smoke of the whole trip was the High Rise Haze from Bluebird. best morning shop for sure, great atmosphere to smoke up in their smoking room with its awesome couches.

the staff was so friendly that on the last day i gave all my leftover bud to them and the customers who were there at closing time. even loaded up two volcanos at the same time and passed the bags around to anyone who wanted. LOVED bluebird. i could live there.

i know its obvious

You need to get a better source dude. All the brick that comes through here from Mejico is a nice skunky Sativa. Too many stems maybe, but not seedy.

Has to be Thai stick for me. Like stonedsince67, extremepain and it appears quite a lot of others on here I am old school, and grew up on the natural herb and hash and thats what I tend to go for in 'Dam. However all the info on the forums have given me the confidence to get into some sativa's this coming trip.
Does any one remember Durban Poison?. Its been many years but if I got a sniff of that at 10 miles you would have a hard job catching me thats for sure.

Keep it live 8) . 19 days :D :D

My morning pick-me-up was a mid size J of Sour-D with slices of Superior Polm intradispersed throughout. I'm not sure I can say it really woke me up, but it did make being awake very tolerable.

Now it's off to see Mother in Law, then Back to my Mom's, then out to dinner for my wife tonight, after a little wardrobe shopping. Home to a glass or 2 of wine, then, for bedtime, the same cannabis mix, this time with a few balls of opium mixed in, and in a bowl rather than a J.

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms, Mums, Mommies and Mothers out there :D
