always my last shop before heading out but this time was a bit let down, not by the weed (cheese was good) but by the fact that you had to get a 10 eu minimum.

Yeah it's a shame about the minimum, as the gram prices are so cheap. Got 1.2 of Jack for 10 euro on Monday, wasn't a particularly standout example of JH but it did the job. Feels very much like a locals shop, the only coffeeshop where I was told the price in Dutch rather than English.

I left a little nug in a bag on the table too, hopefully some other weary traveller found it haha

Thinking this will be our first stop off for a buy and fly en route to the flat.

Does anyone have any up to date menu pics or recommendations? Seems like the menu changes quite a lot having read this thread.

I take it they dont do pre weighed bags anymore?

What are the bud-tenders like? trustworthy? I usually ask the BTs for suggestions in shops I have visited before and trust. I am always paranoid in places I have never been that they will advise me to smoke crap which they are tyring to get rid of!

They weigh the bags infront of you, but have a pre-bagged gram of each strain on display in a glass counter for you to look at. The BTs seemed nice enough to me, no particular rip-off vibe in here.

Before 10am it is a decent option. The coffee is good and apart from a bit of stale Chocolope all my buys have been OK. Not great, but not bad. Their Kandy Kush last year at 10e was excellent for the price. The 1g bag was actually 1.3. :D

We will be... straight after central!

To be honest, it's because I heard they did good value deals (see Sailors point above) so was going to stock up a bit before going to the flat.

That is funny. I tend to think the exact same thing. The amount of times that I read trip reports and the BT's suggestions turns out to be a dud it can't be a co-incidence.

Different opening hours and different menu. Voyagers is a place for weed rather than hash for example. Also central is cheaper than Voyagers.
How much did you produce?

Central is always my first stop weed and hash are very well priced their blueberry cheese the had in November was very nice and only 8.90 a gram the bud tenders are all very helpful the guy with the combed back hair is always helpful and gave me a free lighter or pack of skins anytime I bought a 5 gram bag. The last time I bought a 5 gram bag of cheese from there I said to the bud tender I wish I could buy more than 5 gram of it and he just winked at me and told me to come back in 2 hours which I duly did and got another bag

was here yesterday morning... because Voyagers was not open yet 8)
the budtender´s advice was the cheese (9€/g)... and yes I liked it...
smoked two joints in front of the shop and watching the world goes by 8)

It´s a shame that Utopia opens now at 6 p.m. ... it was my favorite spot for the
morning hours... now you see all these shops (Utopia, HGF, Betty Boop, Resin and so on...)
wich are closed in the morning...

I discovered Central because of this board, and it was indeed handy in the days when I would arrive at Amstel Station at chickenyawn. Later, this same board alerted me to the delights of Utopia, so that became my new first smoke in Mokum.

The next trip probably won't be during school vacation, so I'll have to come back here. Well, it's not Utopia, but it's OK. Decent gear, not overpriced, nice view of the city waking up, newspapers., a telly or two. But that school that makes it impossible for so many shops in the centre to open really does cut down on one's choices.

I've always been a fan of central, early opening, good cheap dope and plenty to laugh at out of the window. i miss the big box but we live in the future now and it must be easier for the dealer not to be having to shift that big fucker around just to let some stoner look at weed.
the warm ears is beautiful hash and should be embraced by all. my last smoke in amsterdam on Wednesday was something called kandy cheese from central. it made a proper arsehole of me at the airport, (to the point where i wouldn't be surprised to turn up on one of those stupid twat caught on video shows), so i highly recommend it.
the menu is very competitively priced but you have to buy at least a tenner's worth, which is probably worth remembering if you have a tight budget.

there has been one major change at central. it's now open till eleven at night, which changes the game completely.
