Come back from Amsterdam

I come back from AMS, i was here 2 weeks ago.

We stayed only 2 days. We arrived on friday at noon. It was raining a lot. We couldn't check in yet, so we've been around waiting for the check in time (around 14h but in fact we did it at 18h the same day).
Where can you go in Amsterdam when you are waiting for something around the Amstel and De Jaaren Café as it is raining ?
So we've been to the porcelain museum of course.
Here are the CS we visited, i'm not an experienced smoker so...

STIX Near the rembrandtplein, We had some nepal temple balls, good stuff but not very strong. The place is right, we had a smoke in front of the window, nice view and quiet CS with jazzy music (it was 13h). The budtender was the boss i suppose, she wasn't the most smiley people i've ever met but correct and quiet. Then as the rain was strongless, we've been to the

Barney's Lounge (3 minutes walking distance from Stix) to have 1g of Triple 0, i know it is overpriced but i really like this hash, easy to proportion, good regular high. As i was there, i had also some Sweet Tooth after asking to the budtender for a pleasant and soft indica weed. It was a little dry, but good high and not so soft...
Then we walked to nowhere, passing by the flower market and arrived in front of the

Dampkring : The place was a little crowded but more like a bar than a coffee shop. I took 1g of Riffman, can't remember wich one, Budtender was ok but busy. I asked him for advice between the 3 available riffman. The one we took had a very good morroco taste, slackness and oily. We sat in front of the window.

We decided as it was raining again to go to RijksMuseum. The waiting time in front of the museum was approximaly 1/2 hour. Veermer was fabulous, also Rembrandt.
A very good exposition well organized. A must see.

It was time to come back and check in at our hotel. They gave us a beautiful room with a little balcony and view on the AMstel. Room was spacious and very lightfull, a must. We took a standart one so the price was reasonable as it can be in a standart european hotel.

Next day, we decided to go walking around Joordan. We reached

Grey Area, i wanted to taste the Grey Chrystall. The Coffee shop itself is not a very nice place, nothing special, not a lot of sits. But their stuff is really good regarding to the post on this forum so...Indeed the grey C was really good, potent and tasty. I recommend it, very easy to mix as it is "hard" powder unpressed in fact.
We mooved from here to go to the

Amnesia just beside grey Area, i wanted to try the Shiraz. It is a morroco one, hard one. It must have been very good when it was fresh. It isn't anymore, it is still effective but not as tasty as it could be. I won't come back to it. Amnesia is a pleasant coffee shop, it was sunday afternoon, people was eating inside. It looks like a classic café cosy and clean. Quiet as i like with mostly thirty years old customers

Walking around Joordan was pleasant, weather was average, a little cold. This section is interresting when you go inside the passageways and alleys. When you do it, you arrive in lovely courtyards.
A lot of restaurant are around, we choose one and it was a good choice. A lot of locals were coming in this one to have the homemade sunday applepie. We took one, very potent. A lot of peanuts inside, a good taste of apple but also a strong smell of cinnamon...Good high, fresh but one is enough for two personns.

Then we decided to go to Van Gogh Museum. It is always good when you come back home to say that you have seen this one. It is also very interrested, who don't know Vincent paintings. See them truely is exiting. We wanted to stop in a CS before going to the museum but didn't found one very near the museum. So on the way back, we stopped in Leidesplein at

Bulldog Palace Just to smoke a joint when you are passing by is ok. You can look at the scenic Leidesplein. We didn't buy in this one any stuff, just a bottle of water. It was ok, not the best, it is a natural one, well packed. No plastic one, it is made with glass. The sensation is very slow and give a really good breath. Good normal high, you can find the same at home.

After coming back to hotel, perhaps a stop in a restaurant De Jaren i don't know exactly the name, it is in front of the Amstel, and of the Bushdoctor Coffee Shop. If you are in a hurry don't go here by the way, the service is very very very slow...even more than others restaurants we've been in amsterdam (and they were not the speediest in town...). But if you want to take a coffee or beer, it is really place, you can't miss it in the summer the terrace is full of people.

Then chill out in our nice bedroom.

Thanks to all on this forum for your comments it has helped me to plan the trip and go to the "good" cs or discover some strains, and of course all the technical stuff around the CS.

Just wondering exactly what you were smoking here? Kind of confusing since the only thing you bought was a bottle of water. If you were describing the water, then my bad.

Good read. I enjoyed the pie review. :P I must agree some of the pastries I tried in Amsterdam got me more high than when I walked in.
