Boxing fans, Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao

Post by cantona7 »

I know the fights about a month off but thought id see who is going to watch this. I'll prob catch an internet stream. I think this will be a good fight with manny winning by decision. Supposedly the winner will fight Floyd Mayweather Jr? Any truth to this? I cant see either of them beating floyd.Anyways discuss.

Manny is stepping up a weight to fight Hatton isn't he? If so then Ricky will be too powerful for him, if theres a rematch between maweather and Hatton I cant see Hatton winning although didn't Mayweather retire or go into semi-retirement? might of lost the edge.

I think Ricky is passed it, he hasnt had a good fight since knocking out Mausa, on the other hand Manny has been brilliant in his last 5 or so fight, beating a past it De La Hoya on the way, as a patriotic brit i would love to see Ricky win, especially a knock out, but i think its Hatton that will be taking the count :x

yea ricky is a brawler and a knockout artist for sure but i think manny will just be to fast for him. we shall see i guess.

According to what I have been reading Mayweather and his father say he can be ready to fight as early as july and he really wants to fight the winner of this bout. As i said i cant see either of them beating Mayweather but hatton vs mayweather 2 would be a great fight. Mayweather really thought hatton was a warrior. Hatton was his own worst enemy in that fight throwing to many punches and leaving himself open to Mayweather's counters. Maybe he could learn from this and have a better shot this time?

Hatton wasn't allowed to execute his fight the way he had planned, when he fought Mayweather because of a useless ref. Having said that Mayweather is pretty unreal.

Hatton all the way!

i was rooting for hatton. I personally dislike mayweather and his whole money maker pretty boy im better than you attitude. That said weather we like it or not hatton got knocked to the canvas and we cant really blame that on the ref.

as would i. would be an amazing atmosphere to see it at the new wembley so more people could go. Would be afraid what would happen if hatton lost again though.

didnt Pacaman beat De La Hoya whom is not in same weight class?
the fight on mai 2 is for the Light Welterweight« the same weight class then Pacquio so no NEED to gain weight if was for Welterweight belt then YES! i say 3erd round TKO for PACMAN!
i hope we get to see Pacquio vs Floyd Jr soon!
but i think that Pacquio would beat jr floyd he been away from boxing too long!

^ you think Manny would beat Floyd? I mean yes its true hes been out of boxing since December 07 but he will have a warm up fight before he fights the winner of manny vs hatton. I think hes just too much for either boxer imo. I mean its going to be a good fight, but i see pretty boy floyd winning by decision.

Back in those days they didnt wear gloves and there were 33 rounds....

I would like to see hatton win, i would love to see it boxed in the U.K. I think the states can underestimate how much boxing is loved over here.

MMA isn't that big here, it can't even get on a decent tv channel, a main event boxing match would attract bigger crowds and tv viewers than any MMA event.
