At 420 our very large group will enter De kuil and then walk right out.
Then a short walk to Nes

I voted to keep it at DeKuil's. I've never had a problem with the people in De Kuil's, always nice and friendly to me each and everytime i'm there. Plus we don't stay that long before moving over to Nes. Let's not mess with tradition.

ok, seems like people are going to stay with 420. at this point I have to say I am not coming over, I dont care if we go to MY or not, this wasnt my point from the beginning, but when I sit in a shop I WANT to spend money, because its a busines that has to do with cannabis and deserves my money, but with an owner who has no problem saying we are all money for him I cant feel comfortable.
still, I can fully understand why you guys dont want to change, at least for this year. for next years 420 I wish we could meet in a place that milehigh has checked before, so we know the money we spend on 420 comes at least back a little to the community (what about Katsu?)

I asked about smoking with a bit of Tobacco, they said i can roll inside but have to go out to smoke it. Simple as that, this was in Feb, so i purchased and went elsewhere. MY is my fav shop so i have no problem with the place at all.
I have no problem with it being moved just its a tradition that happens no matter what i say. I will go where ever the party goes, just dont want to be sat somewhere with 10 people whilst the other 30 are sat in a different place.
If i was choosing i would say HGF but some1 would have to go see if it is okay with them. We are not far away from NES then for the next part of the party. Or even NES and we just get our gear before we go. Not fusseds just as long as we know where we are going.

so the argument of the owner being an asshole doesnt matter to you? as stated elsewhere I really dont want to piss you off or make you think like me (wtf, the world would be so boring if everyone had the same opinion as me ), but I cant understand how you guys still want to sit in a shop you arent really welcome in. is the name 420 so important to you? think about it....still I wish you all a nice meeting and dont smoke all the good pot, if that happens I will have to find each single one of you and make him give it back!

Ofcourse it matters Sh@dy. As I have stated before this may be my last visit to De Kuil/420.
If I part with, say, € 8-10 for a gram of erb, a couple of euros for a drink. Am I really a bad person?
Especially when you consider that It will give me the chance to Shake hands, exchange smiles and stories and get really fucked up In the company of all the cool people who have welcomed, accepted, educated and generally been cool as Fuck to me over the last two years I have been a member here. That Includes YOU BTW!
I can count on one Hand the amount of times I've been in De Kuil.
Once on my first trip.
And Twice last June with Cantona7.
Is a fourth visit really that bad?
over the Last 9 years I have spent money in Some Terrible shops, Grasshoper, bulldog, Free I, La Canna, Old Church, Jolly Joker, Bushdoctor ( although they do have good Ice and shit.) Blues Brothers , The Saint, Smokeys.
Thanks to people on this site, I have become alot wiser.
One last visit to 4.20 to blaze with all these folks is Unmissable IMHO.

I've been going to 420/De Kuil for about 5 years now, I've sat next to the boss when they served beer and he was very polite, they've always treated me very well, do you think De Kuil is the only coffeeshop in Amsterdam who is only out to make money? I actually think the shops that have more than one premises (Barneys, Dampkring and yes Mellow Yellow are more likely to be in it for the money than an independant one).

I read what milehigh said and I appreciate what he's saying but I'm going to meet people that I get on with on here and Virtual Dam (and the odd 1 or 2 Channelites that'll be there) - the number 420 doesn't mean jack shit to me personally I actually call the shop De Kuil if I'm talking to someone but I always write De Kuil/420 as that's how it is known, I have already said I dont intend to spend much money there (I normally buy at least 5 grams of the NYCD from there) which I think is a good enough way to show how I/we feel.

You aren't pissing me off at all sh@dy I respect your opinion much like I respect most peoples and I'd hope people respect mine.

People just do what you want and then meet at nes later. Shady and pirate can go somewhere else for 420 and then meet up with us. No big deal. Have a great smoke wherever you guys go and see you at nes later.
