Hey! Glad I found this forum! I'm a girl from Canada going to Amsterdam with my bf around October, so I'm getting all the info I can before leaving! Been there once before in 2002, but got so high I barely remember my trip... will try to remember this one!

it might be your second trip, but it sounds like you could use my S G Collins first timer recommendation. I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.
