Anyone had this strain lately, if so what's it like? I'm thinking maybe it will be reminiscent of the stuff I used to get in Philly back in the mid-seventies when I first started smoking.

Can you tell me any more about this strain?
Sounds interesting.

Hi Kush-D,

The only description I got comes from the Smokers Guide webstie here:
http://www.smokersguide.com/sg/SmokersG ... php?id=280

The sample they reviewed came from Damkring back 2002, but I see that it is on Katsu's menu as recently as last month. It doesn't appear the Damkring carries any more. I will definitely try it when I am in town next month.

Hey Pauli,
The super Jamaican is on my list as well especially now that I've heard from someone that likes it. I see that you are a fan of the outdoor strains. Aside from Katsu what are some of your other favorite shops for these and which strains? I want to start my trip with something a little on the milder side. Jamaican and Thai seem to be the recommendations along with Orange Bud. I also want to contrast the outdoor strains against the indoor strains as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. BTW I'm a huge Sopranos fan.

Basjoe has very nice Jamaican and Thai as well as Orange Bud.

I think I enjoyed the taste and aroma of the Thai the most because it took me back many years. During a trip in January a wake-and-bake of the Thai got me up from my chair at 7am and dancing to some Grateful Dead! I couldn't believe it.

Hi blueridge, i love my outdoor strains, super jamaican is always good at katsu, much better than the standard jamaican. i would definatly advise you to check out sanementereng, it has the biggest selection of outdoor strains ive found in the dam about 5-6. when i was there in february the thai & indonesian were poor, the african was ok but the best had a really strange name (ping mee, peng mei,) something like that. really nice taste and perfect high, it was 5euro a gram. just ask to look at a couple before you decide, they wont mind theyre really friendly.

Columbian Gold

Try coffee shop Extase near the red light district for Columbian Gold. Always my first stop for outdoor grown gear. The rest of their stuff is always good quality but nothing special.

I've had plenty of grotty Thai and Jamaican, so usually avoid, although Kadzinsky's do a mean bag of Kingston - which is the most consistently good Jamaican I've tried.

Thanks dogstart; I'll give them a try. Two weeks and two days from now I'll be en route - can't wait.
