That may be a possibility, but I wouldn't be sure.

I am loath to spread badness in the universe, so I'm more likely to not write about something that's really bad rather than trash it in public. I'm willing to damn by faint praise though. I just stop going places whose weed disappoints me.

I purchased a sample of this hash last week, much raved about in the ACD forum.
Well I know that batches do change a lot in the Dam (names too, some are just hilarious...).

Can't say it was a bad hash...nor can I say it was an excellent one IMHO.Maybe just an old batch...

Taste was a bit disappointing, as it looked and smelled very nice, bubbled straight when flame-heated.
An excellent hash can be used in very little amounts in joints.I had to load my spliffs to get a bit of flavour....

Ok folks now i really do wanking with my ready made purchases for my 6th adventure in at least 2 days

I normally really like that stuff, but now i'm not sure at all.. bought nothing else at the Kadinsky clubs before cause heard much shitty things few years ago about that "clan" of coffeeshops..

What do you prefer instead of the Trans Himalaya?

Some Jungle Nepal from MY?

i keep on thinking that the Nepal from Hillstreetblues couldn't be good as one of these two.. they give it away for 8,5e or something around that, i know that is not about the price every time but in that matter, i think it was..

What's your opinions on it?

Irreal, if you normally like that stuff, just go for it and buy it!! :)

I had never bought this hash before, so it could be the usual stuff...I'm not saying it was a bad hash, that would be really unfair...just that it lacked taste fr me, compared to the nice smell and looks. The high is pretty mellow, soaring and relaxing. The 5g deal on this one is fair TBH...but hey when I'm in the Dam (hadn't been fr 2 years!!) I tend to be a lil picky on what I'm smoking, or demanding let's say!Plus, being on a tight budget, short stay (3 days with the missus, smoked only a few evening/night spliffs) I pick carefully my smoke (not always succesfull though, as looks are deceiving sometimes , but that's part of the hunt !!)

Never tried the Nepal frm Mellow Yellow nor at HSB.Heard Basjoe had a good Himalaya, and Bluebird is tops fr good import hasj...

Personally, one of the best purchase of the trip for a asian hash was the Cream Charras in Betty Boop, although you cannot compare a dry sift black hash frm high mountain plants (TH) with a hand rubbed Charras frm sativa plants in the lush indian valleys (which I assume Cream C. is ..).High is totally different also.

That's a gliterring supersticky dark brown charras, soft and extremly pliable but not too stretchable, gotta keep this one cold to roll a spliff with it (I prefer crumbling it in pieces than make a big sausage) other wise you find yerself with gooey fingers and a challenge to skin one out.
the smell is amazing, ripe very fresh sativa plants, with a hint of hay, fresh grass (as in most of hashes made of non dried plants: scisor, finger hash, charras...)Thick, rich smoke, easy on the throat, with a nice aroma. The high is uplifting, cerebral and energetic.
As said in my previous post, an excellent hash can be used with parcimony (does that word exists in English??), and the Cream charras actually matches with this statement.

At 12 EUR per gr, you should try it.I had a discount fr 5gr at 50E, deffo worth the money...I'm lovin it!!

Charras frm sativa plants in the lush indian valleys
Actually, most of the lush indian valeys where hand rubbed charas is produced, such as Malana or Parvati have fields located at 2000 to 3500 meters elevation.
Kadinsky's Trans-Himalaya looks like hand-rubbed charas to me, definitely not sieved material (but I can be wrong of course).
I sampled it in November 2009. Was nice, tasty & uplifting material, although wouldn't compare to some temple balls I scored back in the old days. Still, great for the price.

Yeah Charsee, you could be right about that TH being a hand rubbed charras :) .
The only way to get close to the truth IMO is to look at it under a scope or a magnifier (which I did fr both Cream C. and TH).
Hand rubbed hash usually contains small amounts of plant material due to the "extraction" method. The CC did (really tiny amounts though). If sieved properly (mesh size is one of the keys) a tumbled hash can be very clean compared to a charras.
The TH on the other hand was cleaner.

Thanks :D  :D

Alpen- I agree that I found the taste underwhelming. Nice enough for the price with a nice soaring mellow high, but a little waxy and indistinct tasting.

Irreal- Try the temple ball from Solo- (significantly more expensive 13+e/g/ 12e/g for the 5 g deal)- it had an amazing licorice and black pepper flavor. James's Himilayan at Basjoe is also quite nice- more pepper than licorice.
