Yep, you're right - Cheese, Blueberry and G13. What a lovely combination! Any seeds available?

Soma does them.

I find this very interesting, as I believe when MH and I met the owner of Katsu in June, he was on his way to get some clones from Soma.
Does that seem about right for them to be appearing in the shop now?

Dropped in the other day while looking for quality herb vendors near my new flat. I picked up some of their Black Widow, smoking it was like being punched in the face (in a nice stoned way)... highly recommended. Although when I went in it was very warm in there.

The Gouda was heavy hitting, best smoke i had this trip by a mile. Also reb leb hash was ace! Not really strong, but old school memories... Nepal Ice hash was good too, tried it as they had no crystal clear left for my whole trip!

Great place, if not the greatest! Just a pity they had no crystal clear, goes well in one of their verdamper bongs.
Finally someone who loves the Red Leb like I do. Picked up some more last night and my first taste of blackwidow. Not yet impressed with the BW but I will smoke more tonight.

Had to try the BW....outstanding :!: Wanted to visit the shop again and try some other offerings too...but alas....never made it back during our 9 day Amsterdam visit (very eclectic visit this year).

Since our hotel was somewhat near the shop, it was the first stop after we got in town (late), and Black Widow was ordered. Powerful high for sure...not really interesting as far as the "type" of effect. Taste too was lacking...but that is the "widow" for you :?

Definitely the strongest weed of the trip...stronger than the hashes I sampled (one of the "Rifman's from Dampkring...forget which one, and the Stix's Temple Ball). A caveat..."highs" are somewhat subjective and the BW was smoked after a "break" (visiting family) of 5 days without toking. But still, it was clear to me that the BW was the strongest of the trip

top coffeeshop of my trip

Post by templeball »

Hi folks, noob posting alert!
I just had most of the top morrocan hash and pollens and blacks on an utter hash oddysey which I will post elsewhere here in full soon, mostly from Katsu (and bluebird amongst others, the other best venue in my opinionl for hash sampling), all were first rate, clean and strong. Top black for me was the Nepalese Ice, absolute bliss at a pricey 14 e a g I think, but worth every penny, very poky but clear and clean. Their Super Pollen and Super Morrocan (both 20 e bags which I think had 2gs each but check the Black Arts menu website under Special Offers to be sure) were lush and memorable, both superb and easily as good as anything I recall having on these shores over the last 20 yrs from that region. The other nepalese hash were good but not a patch on the ice. Very friendly, locals place so no wallys thank god, a bit of an older Dutch crowd I felt also, and like every other coffeshop I visited (10 or so) you can roll with tobacco as long as you are discrete and just get on with it. :P

I was honoured to pop in to Katsu's on Wednesday afternoon, to grab a couple of grammes of manila cream, nepal ice, crystal clear and a gramme of maroc ice.
Long story short, we made it there in a rush; waited for two people to be served and while being made feel welcome and served by the female tender my partner was allowed to go up the tiny little winding staircase, to use the toilet. :)
All extremely high quality and surprisingly good value and yes, the crystal clear puts me on my arse. :D
Katsu was my Amsterdam magical experience.

Katsu is rapidly becoming my favourite C/S...The 3 times i've been in there over the last 2 years,i find myself brought into the locals conversations...the last time ,3 weeks ago,i was sat the front big table with a couple of locals and this Dutch guy sits down and puts together a tobacco spliff and then daubs it with some honey colored gooey stuff and proceeds to pass it round the table,I dont smoke baccy anymore ,so i asked him if it was Icealtor and he said "No,its Gazolator"with a huge smile on his face...well,the other folk who had already partaken were obviously very pleased with the effects :D ,so it seemed churlish not to try the proffered spliff, and WOWEE ZOWEE...that was me sorted for a good while :)
Any how,as that isnt on the menu,(home made),i must recommend the Mazaar I Shareef at €20 for 1.1 gms...a superb hashish...so good i went back for more, and the lovely bud lady says,"so you like that hashish then",with a big smile ... in fact,i'm smoking some right now...yummm :D
