Re: Katsu
I've had great experiences with Betty's K.F. too. (think it was Sept. '14)

Re: Katsu
Yeah, just to confirm, the Amnesia Hiya, is probably the best value hash in town. Definitely smokes like some 10 euro a gram+ type shit, and misses that price mark. It's roughly 8.35 per gram, so very nice price; certainly the most potent shit you can buy in this town for under 10 a gram I'd argue.
The Tbisla on the other hand, was somewhat of a disappointment, and can be skipped; but alas, you can't win 'em all, nonetheless the place is increasingly becoming my go to for hash. I would say top hash places are for sure Katsu, 2e Kamer, and Bluebird. Katsu has overall the best value and variety i.e. Moroccan, Leb and Black Asian hashes. Bluebird similarly but not as good of a value or cheap as most of Katsu's menu, def more expensive. 2e Kamer has the best value and selection of high quality Moroccan hashes, especially with their Rifman menu, but lacks somewhat in good Black Asian hashes...
Anyone tried the Nepali Annap Pollen?

Re: Katsu
Hi,
Yes I had the Nepalese Annap Pollen last time. It was a great high really relaxing yet cerebral, and surprisingly strong. A couple of vape hits through the Crafty was enough for a while. The King Hassan was also of very high quality.
I've not had the Scissor Hash recently but remember it as a very clean mainly Sativa high when they first got it in, last year if memory serves.
Also cheers to Babbalonian and choppermike for the KF tip.
Cheers all

Also thought the Nepalese Annap Pollen was good for taste.
and will try out the Amnesia Hiya this time...
Re: Katsu
Was there on the 24-25 july and i was not impressed by the mango haze
The smell was nice but no mango aroma or something. The taste was very very little hazy thats it
I don't know but its very very hard to find good weed in amsterdam. I looked at the sour og,domina haze, nlxhaze but all nothing special
Re: Katsu
I like the vibe here so much
I was served by a cute girl... it seems like it was her first day there.
I was looking for some nice maroccan hash and asked her for an advice. She showed me a few sorts
including the Mazar Sharif. The older dark-skinned budlady noticed that and say something like he
ask for maroccan hash so you can't show him the Mazar Sharif... it's hash from afghanistan! It seemed
to me that she was a little bit pissed of...
After I take another look on the menu page. I saw that the Mazar was listed under maroccan hash... so
maybe the cute girl was right
(usually Mazar I Sharif is Afghan hash...)
I heard a few good things about the King Hassan (10€/0,9g)so I asked to take a look on it. Hmmm it don't
look pretty good. Pretty hard hash like it's a older batch. I tried it anyways because of the good reviews.
Something wasn't right with the hash... when heated by flame there was a really chemical smell wich
seems to be not healthy
Usually Katsu sell good stuff! So I don't think they made it to rip off people. Maybe there were a little bit
of plastic left in the hash or... I don't know but be carefull when buying that maybe I had only a real bad
batch.

Re: Katsu
Few weeks ago, I bought some Jamaica/Africa weed for hash joints cause i don't smoke tobacco, and those two bags have been the smallest 3 gram bags i've ever seen. When the stems and seeds had been taken out, i got only like four/four+ 0.4g joints out of one 3 gram bag, but a year ago their Thai bags(also with stems and seeds+the weed just as dry ) lasted alot longer, something like 6 joints/3grams.
Someone might say "what do you expect out of low grade weed, stop whining"..
Sure, not the end of the world, only 20 euros spent. But i'd expect to have atleast 2.5g of smoking material after removing the seeds and stems out of the 3 grams of my low-grade mixer, and not only 4 (and a half ) x 0.4 gram joints. 10 euros for 1.6-1.8 grams of shitty, vacuum-packed-when-still-damp, low potency Jamaican grown in Africa, is abit too pricey for me.
Maybe it was bagged too damp @ KAtsu by someone who didn't think to put some extra in to compensate moisture loss, and not done on purpose to scam people.
Hope so, cause it's a nice, sunny place to sit around for awhile for a smoke and a drink.

Sour Diesel 20€ for 1.40 grams really good.
Critical Mass 10€ for 1.0 gram not so much, still solid Indica.

Re: Katsu
I never had problems with that in katsu, it's a chilled place and staff don't even ask me to buy a drink. Last time I went in I bought some weed and hash after chilling two hours in the shop and smoking my stuff.MinnBobber wrote:Does Katsu let you bring in bud from elsewhere if you buy drinks there?

Re: Katsu
The posted rules(in Dutch) state you cannot bring your own weed in. However as long as you buy a drink and don't make a show of it, it is not enforced. What is strange though is that you cannot roll a joint outside, but smoking one is OK. At the Greenhouse Effect in the Centrum it IS ok to roll a joint outside. That is the difference between neighborhood enforcement people. Some places OK, others not. Some consistency would be good. Did I mention Katsu is my favorite shop by far?MinnBobber wrote:Does Katsu let you bring in bud from elsewhere if you buy drinks there?
