Rolling at Coffeeshop Katsu

Post by DRA »

This presentation includes video clips shot with a Traveler HD 10X Digital Video Camera.

Saturday, 11 April: During my second week in Europe, I find myself back in Amsterdam with cool friends from various places all meeting in Holland. On this day,we had gone shopping and people watching at the Albert Cuyp Market in Amsterdam's Old South. After much walking and shopping we decide to take a break at the near by Coffeeshop Katsu on 1e Van der Helststraat.

This friendly shop was the perfect place of respite as we rested and relaxed in the comfortable lounge area at the back of the room. We found ourselves sharing the space with a few regulars of the establishment and this is how we met SoulRider. As one of the major contributing commentators on the Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory web site, SoulRider was a willing subject of this video project.

You'll see SoulRider construct a joint in the traditional European style, blended with tobacco and with a "roach" filter tip.

Various conversations interweave among each other as the topics transition from one to another among the participants.

I was in catsu the other week and picked up some LOVELY isolator hash (which was kept in the fridge). Sublime high and in 10 euro deals, bliss!

cab to Katsu...

Post by beverEATER »

Any idea on the cost of a cab to Katsu from Dam Square? I know the tram is the most cost effective mode of transport, but time is precious in the 'dam and I always get confused/lost on the tram.

been at katsu with my girlfriend and we bought a gram of lavender and a gram of black widdow

we sat down in the back and enjoyed a black widdow joint
the place isn´t as comfortable as some others, but the atmosphere is nice and there gear is tottaly great!
bought red lebanese and a gram citral, too
smoked it through a bong at the campsite and decided to go back the next day, to buy other hash and more black widdow

next day we bought 3g black widdow and i get some nice ice-o-later called cristal clear
0.4g for 10 euro...hell, i was so stoned :D
never made a hash mix without a lighter or even a knife before.

great place...will come back again

They keep it in the fridge... Amazing smoke! I still have a little of it left, saved for very special occasions :D

small but lovely shop. got quite a lot there but the black widdow and bb cheese were outstanding! the bud womand is quite funny. she gave me some cds and was enthousiastic. I am convinced she was flirting with me but probably it was the weed telling me that.
oh, there vaporizer was quite strange though!
it was by the way the only shop that gave me a free drink since I made a bigger purchase

The Black Widow was bait, didnt enjoy it. Would go as far as to say I hated it. Nasty coloured ash. Not worth 20E for 1.7g imo.

reason why? taste was wrong? no effect?

you know we´re smoking natural products my friend so it is possible to have a bad strain...
like a tomato...one day its tasty and the other day its like water and no taste at all

try it another time...i love this shit because it knocked me out totally on my third trip

the one day trip i bought lavender instead of the BW because the BW doesn´t smelled that nice... choose with your own senses my friend...use these references as a help..

I know my weed, and it wasnt accpetable. I didnt elaborate too much as I was high and couldnt be bothered. In my opinion this batch should not have been sold to customers, but like a coffeeshop will throw away an ounce or so.

I have visited enough coffeeshops in Dam now to know where to buy decent weed from, and Katsu is not one of them.

I shall stick to Dampkring, Noon, Mellow Yellow, Green Place, Blue Bird and now Old Amstersdam.

Never once had a problem in any of the above coffeeshops.
