A Big Thank you for a Great Site

Post by steven »

Hi all, well that's me back from Holland and thanks to this site it made things alot easier getting my smoke without causing stress to my family....

1st call was when I got off the boat from Newcastle to Amsterdam, as I quoted in previous threads this was a family holiday and I wanted to be able to nip in and out. I was advised by a fellow member that there was a shop called Joe Cool in Ijmuiden, I was given there address so I fired it in the satnav and less than 1 minute I was in the CS...
Review................... It was just after 10.00am and I asked the bud tender what was best on there menu under the indica and sativa range.... I was supprised that they didn't know what this was!!! I asked what the most I could carry was (knowing it was 5g) this was confirmed but I managed to get 7g as I said my wife is in the car and 2g was for her.. Hee hee!!
I got 1g of cheese, 1g of white parel, 1g of white widow, 1g of knetter, 1g of special, 1g of butter polm and 1g of Kronin Morrocan... all for 59euros. (I have pictures of the weed and hash but they wouldn't let me take one of the menu).
Joe cools was a great 1st stop and actually my last stop as I went into it again for a prerolled spliff before going back on the ferry.... Well worth a visit and big up to the member who advised on this shop..

Next stop was in Amsterdam, as previously posted on threads I wasn't wanting to go here because I was meant to attend court 6 yrs ago and I was paranoid that I would get lifted.... Nevertheless my wife and kids got me there, they went to the Anne Frank House and I went CS hunting, I went into a newsagents asking where the closest shop was and they pointed me in the direction of Black Star... So off I went.
Review................ This shop I found a shit hole, the bud tender was great and advised I take 1g of silver Haze he opened up a security door to allow me to go downstairs and smoke... This kinda freaked me a little as I didn't know what to expect.. It was very dingy with no air conditioning or windows and although I was the only person there another 2 then another 2 came in and caused it to become really bad with smoke..... I honestly thought a pope was getting elected.... I then decided to leave and bought some space cake which was in my oppinion Excellent. The haze was 10euro and the cake was 5 euro. ( I have pictures of bud and menu)

Next place a few days later was in a town called Lieden, this was only 5 mile from my campsite so i hired a bike and off I went.. when I got to lieden I didn't have a clue where to go or how to get there, I asked a young swiss student how to get to the centre and that I was looking for a CS.. he laughed and told me he would take me to the best in town... So off we went, under subways, through lights, through side streets and then I was there Double AA.
Review...........I went in and the bud tender was excellent, he advised I take a single joint and chill then decide what I wanted to buy.I bought a pre rolled haze for 3euros and was told I had to go onto the street to smoke it, I found this strange as I didn't like to smoke with kids and parents walking past, but after 20 minutes on the bike, I didn't give a feck!!
After my smoke I went back in and asked what the best smoke on the menu was, I was asked what kind of stone I wanted and after explaining I wanted couch.. I was advised to buy DNA at 10 euros a Gramme. So I got that and a pre rolled Northern lights and went on my way back to the campsite..................... 1 major problem here was how do I get back, I just follwed the swiss guy, chuffed as pants that he was taking me somewhere I didn't take notice of the route..........

So I was lost, head buzzing from my haze and did I care... Did I feck,it took me 3 hours to get back that night but boy the ride was brilliant. ( I did take a menu photo but once i started on the DNA all thought of taking a picture of DNA was gone.
So what was the smoke like.....
My 1st joint was the Knetter and this made me feel trippy.
Next was the special and that was ok
Then it was the cheese, I have read so much about the smell and the smoke of this so that's why I got it.. it wasn't bad but fecking stunk.
The white parel was a good smoke, really relaxed.
White Widow wasn't as good as I thought as I heard this made you trip and apart from a nice glow I wasn't tripping.
The butter polm didn't do much neither did the Moroocan, maybe this is because I prefer weed to hash.
The Haze from Black Star was nice, actually very nice and the cake was amazing.
The DNA from Double AA, well that was by far the best smoke for evenings, it totally made me feel relaxed and actually put me to sleep.

I found there radio stations over there a lot better with my favourite being SLAM FM, on Fri and Sat night the trance was amaxing, I also found Decibel and fresh FM good to enhance your smoke...

So overall I had a great time and can't wait untill my next adventure... To me holland is the new keswick for hollidays

appolgies for the black star menu but you can work out the left hand side menu from the 1 on the right side.
