"Cannabis Serously Inhibit's Violence" Says New Study - A new study released by 'Huntingdon Animal Torture Sciences' today revealed what many police have been whispering about for some time; cannabis seriously inhibits young people's ability to carry out violent behaviour.
A senior Metropolitian Police source known only as 'Deep Plod' told Skype News that officers all over the country were worried for their jobs.
"If this report was acted on and if cannabis became any more popular or legally available in the UK it could devastate policing jobs at a time of already high unemployment" he said.
"Much of our work involves dealing with drunken youths in late night brawls after binge-drinking sessions all over the UK. Were young people to stop drinking and smoke weed instead it would be the equivelant of closing down several Cowley car plants and would throw thousands of police officers on the dole".
What is worse" He went on, "is that people who smoke cannabis often end up listening to music and contemplating the moon rather than going out and committing crimes.
Thus it is not only the officer patrolling the streets who would be affected by having to fill in the extra time but it would also force the rest of us to investigate burglaries and car theft; something which our forces are never willingly interested to do as our track record over many years shows."
Asked for a comment Gordon Brown's office said "The Prime Minister was right to upgrade Cannabis, his opinion poll ratings improved as a result and that is what really matters."
