Happy 420 everyone! Today ends up being a Christmastime 420 for me. I already knew I had an oz of diesel coming my way, but was surprised upon delivery that i could also buy an oz of opium....then to top it off I got 12 gms of superior polm that I was expecting, but Whoa, let the party begin.

I think there needs to be a 420 pledge, or a 420 anthem....any ideas?

and if i ever find the battery charger for my camera, i will take pics for the what im smoking now thread....but for the moment, im smoking polm, mmmmmmmm, then we shall add a lil opium to sweeten things a little

It is opium opium. I know where it comes from, so the incense, cabbage mold crap this isn't. Even though i'm on serious opiod pain meds, about 4 to 5 hits of this, and its lalalalala. It comes from somniferum gigantum strain.

It was a great 420 for me, and I hope for all here. Ive been enjoying the Superior Polm I just got too. Im needing all the stress relief I can get trying to do all the paperwork I have to do for my son to start college in the fall.

If anyone has any cool 420 stories, please share. Im betting most of us had a nice celebration. My most extreme was a tri-plex hit of Chiesel, bits of polm and a lil ball of opium.....it was real nice.[/i]

what its like with opium, do you really get addicted after the first few tokes? I cant believe this shit, but I never knew anyone who would tell me from his own experience... so tell me the story

I can say without hesitation that if you smoke opium long enough, you will get the monkey on the back. When I was younger it was a treat to get a gram or 2, but no one ever got more than that at any time, if that's all you do, its not a big deal.

Yeah I have an oz of it, but I am very opiate tolerant due to the dose I already take for my tumor and bad discs. I will be on fentanyl and methadone for life, so it's not like I have to worry about opiate addiction. I am physically dependent, and would get very sick were I to suddenly stop all of them. Dependency and addiction are different, addiction makes you want more and more to chase the buzz, but I have been at the same pain med dose for 2 yrs now. Anyway, the point is, I think its fine as a novelty a time or 2, but dont underestimate it, too many times and it will grab you, and you dont want to know what getting loose looks like.

For how it is, its a nice warm floating body high, with similarities to weed. It doesn't have a paranoia component in my experience. Another point I should make right away....This isnt weed, you dont smoke more and more because, unlike weed, you can overdose smoking opium. If you were to put a ball the size of a peppercorn in a pipe and share it with a friend is no biggie. I like it more as a complement to hash or weed, just use sparingly, and never for more than a couple of consecutive days.

i got a big bottle of liquid vicodin in the bathroom. its prescription, but i dont need it any more (hardcore cough suppressant for a wicked cough i had a few years ago) now its recreational use only. and the rule is that the bottle can only be opened once a month tops. so far as i remember, it hasnt opened even once in 2009. its kind of a comitment because its 12 hour time release. so you're good and high off it for at least 9-10 hours. with an hour of rise and fall on each end.

I´d really like to try some time (let it be at least 30 years until the day), since I think one or two small puffs just to get high once wont make you an addict and I would never take any chemical drugs like speed or drugs you only get cut like coca but since its a plant.....well like I said, if I ever try it it wont be before I turn at least 50 haha

Not at all. I happen to enjoy reading bullshit...(and also happened to be totally stoned atm).

As for smoking opium, I like the bars in my cage. They help define who I am.

Ive never known anyone who smoked pods. Some people make a nice tea from them, but opium is made by making about a 2mm deep slit into the pods, actually 6 to 10 slits per pod. You start early morning so the latex that oozes out doesnt dry and seal the slits, you want it to ooze the whole day. After you have a good collection of latex on the pods, you take a plastic card to scrape away the latex to process it into opium. Ideally the opium product itself should have an exotic, intoxicating floral scent, though the poppy itself does not.

Another point to make about these substances. An "opiate naive" person has no real way of knowing their tolerance. Opium itself is nowhere near as pure and morphine, and morphine is not as powerful as oxycodone, and oxycodone is not as powerful as pure heroin. but since heroin is next to never pure, oxycodone is clinically the king of the hill.

Having said all that, I would say the best policy you can follow is to always be with someone, because opiates give you zero warning when it comes to overdose. You just dont wake up from your "nod"

Now opium is fairly mild compared to pharmaceutical derivatives, but it still has its punch, and I wouldn't advise one way or another on smoking it, its a personal choice, but In the few instances it has crossed my bowl, Ive quite enjoyed it.

Yea I smoked opium in the far east in my military days in the 70's and still by far the strongest smoke I've had in life. Easy to get addicited if your not careful. Haven't had any since the 70's and don't care to try it again. Only into the buds since those days. Boy did I smoke a lot of Thai sticks laced with opium in those days.
