Ahoy all.

I saw that Boner posted a few pics of Delft in a previous thread.

I'll be in Amsterdam with the Mrs. this upcoming summer. Right now, we're planning on being in Amsterdam July 31-August 4. I have read a lot about Antonie van Leeuwenhoek and am very interested in seeing Delft as a result.

I'm planning on making a day trip to see Antonie van Leeuewenhoek's grave, perhaps a couple of the museums (I understand the science museum is quite good) and of course sample the local herbage before making the hike back to Amsterdam.

I don't want to miss any opportunities as I'm not sure when I'll be able to return. Is there anything else I should have on my radar screen?

You have been posted you on the July and August Whos In Town pages.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

During 2006 I stayed in Delft, we sleep in Hotel Campanile Delft, that is not in the centre but the city is small (20 min. of bike from a side to the other of the city) and the hotel is nice with a the maker in the room, bike for 3€ all stay, and a Mac donald with Mc drive in 200mt.
The coffees are nice, small but nice.
The future and the game have the same owner, on the menu 3 weed and 1-2 hash (in delft they smoke weed), the weed all good, 6€ 1.2g - 12€ 2.5g, offer buying more.
The Buddah and the Vlouw are bigger than the other and the price are same.
Het Keldertje is small very small but with a big menù and very quality.

Don't miss to take fried fish in the open shop in the centre, they have too many quality of fish and it's soo good.

In Delft now ...the CS Scene is this -5 shops ...three of them are buy and go ...(Future, 'tkelderje, and de Boedha - Boedha will let you smoke pure at their rolling table, apparently it rarely happens unless a Yank tourist comes along -none of these shops sell drinks , offer anything other than a bag of weed / hasj ...and don't bump your head on the way out of the cellar ...theres 2 shops like we're used to in Amsterdam . The Game and Vlouw
the Game is often packed, has good smoke ...Vlouw has some space and is the closest to the Square ...but all in all Delft has a relatively poor CS Scene ...decent smoke, but not up to Amsterdam this year ... The best CS scene we've found out of Amsterdam is Leeuwardens ...sent various menus to FBN
